Terrance N. Ivers has been named CEO of the Compression and Solutions Business Unit of the Oil & Gas Division of Siemens Energy. Since 2007, Ivers was the President of Amec Paragon, an international upstream and midstream project management company and service provider. Ivers is a mechanical engineer and began his career at KBR, where he held a number of managerial positions in the fields of pipelines and offshore engineering. Ivers succeeds Donald Weir, who has decided to leave the company to pursue other interests.

Decision Strategies, a Houston-based strategic management consulting firm, appointed Patrick Leach as CEO and Steve Jacobs as COO. Prior to his appointment, Leach was a Decision Strategies principal extensively involved in the implementation of strategic initiatives, probabilistic methodologies and analysis of upstream energy projects. Jacobs, who joined Decision Strategies in 2008 and more than 30 years of marketing research and consulting experience.

Carolyn Hare has joined energy consultancy Xodus Group’s Aberdeen, UK, office. She specializes in upstream chemistry with over 13 years of experience in offshore and onshore chemical management systems, designing and managing injection facilities and other chemical treatment-related roles. Previously, Hare served two years as General Manager of CheckPoint UK, where she worked on oilfield and refinery chemical injection facilities.

Robin Watson, previously Managing Director of Wood Group (North Sea) Ltd, has been appointed UK Managing Director of the newly formed Wood Group PSN business.  Watson has overseen the expansion of Wood Group’s UK asset operations business since 2010. He was previously responsible for duty-holder contracts with clients including Centrica, Ithaca and Premier Oil and significant North Sea contracts with Hess, Talisman and TAQA. He brings to the role more than 20 years of industry experience in production and energy development.

Peak Well Systems announced the appointment of Mark Nicol as global sales director and Gus Brown as head of engineering. Nicol joins the company after 17 years at Weatherford International, most recently as director of global business development for the well completion technologies business unit. Brown joins from Hunting Energy Services, where he was responsible for the development of its well intervention equipment technologies.

Dr. Jonathan Copus has been appointed CFO and a Board director of Salamander Energy. Copus has worked as an oil and gas equity research analyst for over 10 years, most recently as a Director of Deutsche Bank’s Oil and Gas Equity Research team. Prior to becoming an analyst, he worked for Shell International as a geologist in its Deepwater E&P team based in Holland and Houston.

CGGVeritas has appointed Tim Brooks as VP of Operations, North America for the Land Division. Brooks rejoins the company after spending four years in senior operational management positions, most recently with Tidelands Geophysical. With more than 25 years of experience in the seismic industry, Brooks has an extensive background in crew and operations management and was General Manager for Veritas DGC for more than ten years. Prior to this, Brooks served as Operations Manager for Schlumberger Geco-Prakla.

David Rae has been named sales director for offshore cargo company Swire Oilfield Services. Rae has held a variety of senior commercial and finance roles in both the oil and gas and manufacturing industries. He was most recently business development director at helicopter operators CHC.

Brad Whitmarsh has joined Kosmos Energy  as VP of Investor Relations. He previously served as Manager of Investor Relations at Noble Energy. He also worked in multiple roles in Noble Energy’s internal audit department.

Wild Well Control, a Superior Energy Services company, has named Kerry Girlinghouse VP of Well Control Engineering. Girlinghouse has been with Wild Well Control since 2004. In his most recent position, he served as a Senior Technical Advisor within the engineering division. Girlinghouse will be based in Houston.

Transocean has promoted Terry Bonno and Mark Monroe to the positions of Senior VP, Marketing and VP, Account Management, respectively.  Bonno has 30 years of upstream industry experience, including management positions at Global Marine and Applied Drilling Technology. She previously served as Transcoean’s VP of Marketing.  Monroe has served as Managing Director, Marketing for the company since 2010 and will be responsible for overseeing relationships with key US-based customers. Both Bonno and Monroe will be based in Houston.

Geotrace has promoted Deborah Walker to VP, Accounting, and Greg McCracken to VP, Finance and Operations Analysis. In her new role, Walker will oversee Geotrace’s global accounting issues and compliance standards. McCracken will establish short- and long-term operational metrics.

Rowan Companies appointed Thomas P. Burke to serve as COO and Melanie M. Trent as Senior VP, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary. Burke, previously served as the President and CEO of Rowan’s manufacturing subsidiary, LeTourneau Technologies. Trent joined Rowan in 2005 and served most recently as Vice President and Corporate Secretary. David Russell, Rowan’s Executive Vice President of Drilling Operations, is leaving the company to pursue other interests.

Darrell C. Howard has joined Baker Hughes as President of the Integrated Operations organization. Howard joins Baker Hughes from VICO Indonesia, where he served as Vice President, Technical Support for the BP-Eni joint venture. Howard has over 32 years’ international experience with private government and third-party organizations.

Peter Hill has been appointed Managing Director and CEO of Global Petroleum. Most recently, Hill was the Global Head of Corporate M&A for Statoil, where he was responsible for several large transactions, including Statoil’s merger with Norsk Hydro Oil & Gas in December 2006 and the acquisition of Encana’s Gulf of Mexico deepwater assets in 2005.

Pacific Rubiales announced the appointment of Christopher J. LeGallais as Senior VP of Investor Relations. During the past 13 years, LeGallais has held various senior positions at Talisman Energy. Prior to Talisman, LeGallais worked in various senior executive, business development and geotechnical positions at a number of successful Canadian and international E&P companies.

Oasis Petroleum has appointed Michael Lou as Executive VP and CFO, having previously served as the company’s Senior Vice President of Finance. In his new role, Lou will expand his focus on financial strategy and execution and continue as a member of the Oasis senior leadership team. Lou has 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
