Transocean Ltd. announced that Rob Saltiel, currently Executive VP, Performance, will become Executive VP and COO. Steven Newman, currently President and COO, will remain President until becoming CEO in early 2010, when current CEO Bob Long retires.

Bisso Marine has appointed Andy Wojtaszczyk as Subsea Services Project Manager, managing saturation diving and ROV operations. Prior to joining the company, he served as ROV superintendent in Equatorial Guinea for Bienvenue Consulting Services/Hess Corp., and ROV project manager for Offshore Innovative Solutions Inc.

FMC Technologies has named Bradley D. Beitler as VP, Technology. Previously, he was the Director of Technology for the company, a position he has held since 2006.

Juan Pablo Tardio will be promoted to VP and CFO of Helmerich & Payne Inc., succeeding Executive VP and CFO Douglas E. Fears, who plans to retire in April 2010. Tardio joined the company in 2001 and took responsibility for investor relations in 2005. He was promoted to Director of Investor Relations in January 2008.

Warren Schneider has joined 3PS as VP of Business Development for its wireless torque and tension systems. 3PS designs and manufactures rugged-ized wireless and hardwired sensors and systems for harsh and hazardous environments.

Independent exploration and production company Hyperdynamics Corp. has appointed William A. Young as Executive VP for Commercial Affairs. He will be responsible for negotiating and managing all of the company’s commercial transactions, including partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracts. Most recently, Young headed the commercial function for the UK-based BG Group.

Verdande Technology has named Kevin Brady as General Manager for the Western Hemisphere. He has more than 21 years of experience, most recently with Halliburton as Senior Manager of the Solutions Marketing team. Also, Ali K. Garkasi has been named Operations Manager for the Middle East and North Africa. Garkasi has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, working on new drilling technologies in both land and offshore projects. Most recently, he was a Senior Drilling Engineer with Saudi Aramco.

George Foster, founder and President of Foster Marketing Communications, was presented with the Business Marketing Association (BMA) Lifetime Achievement Award. He received the award from the Houston chapter of the BMA for his 30 years of contributions to the marketing industry and his active involvement with the organization.

SBC, the management consultancy arm of Schlumberger, announced the appointment of five VP-level staff members, coinciding with the launch of four new offices in New Delhi, Rio de Janeiro, Beijing and Abu Dhabi. Herve Wilczynski will serve in SBC’s Houston office. He has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector with a number of strategic and operational issues. André Olinto joins the SBC Rio de Janeiro office with over 14 years of experience in electric power and natural gas consulting in Latin America. Jerome Luciat-Labry has joined the Middle East office in Abu Dhabi. He has worked in energy and consulting since 1992, most recently at McKinsey & Company, where he was Senior Partner. Olivier Perrin was promoted to VP in the Paris office. Perrin joined SBC in September 2006 as a Senior Project Manager. Aileen Chang will serve in the Singapore office. She has 10 years of experience in management consulting across Asia, the Middle East and North America, previously holding positions at Booz Allen Hamilton in the US and Deloitte Consulting in Hong Kong.

Dan-Loc Bolt & Gasket appointed Jeffrey A. Spillane to the position of Senior VP and CFO. He joined the company in June 2009. Most recently, Spillane served as CFO for TMD Temporaries in Houston. The company also announced that Phil Miller was appointed Senior VP, Development. He joined the company in August 2009, having served previously as President of Central Industrial Supply Co.

Stuart O’Connor was named the new Chairman of the Board of Calgary, Alberta-based Flint Energy Services Ltd. He replaces John Geddes, who is retiring. O’Connor is currently President of Timber Ridge Capital Ltd., and was previously President and CEO of Merak Projects Ltd.

Foster Wheeler AG has appointed Clive Vaughan to the newly created post of CEO, Upstream Oil and Gas Group, in the company’s Global Engineering and Construction Group. Vaughan joins the firm from Endeavour International, where he was Director of Facilities Engineering and New Developments.

Independent energy company Texas American Resources Company (TARC) has named Julian Bott as CFO. He has 25 years of experience executing transactions, raising capital and performing advisory work. Previously, Bott served as CFO for 3dMD, a London- and Atlanta-based firm specializing in 3D data capture technology and related software.

Hercules Offshore Inc. has named Thomas R. Bates, Jr., as Chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding John T. Reynolds. Bates has been a director of Hercules Offshore since the company’s inception in 2004. He has served as President of the Discovery Group of Baker Hughes Inc., President and CEO of Weatherford/Enterra Inc., and President of Anadrill at Schlumberger Ltd.
