Jonathan Wylde has been named the head of Clariant’s Oil Services business in Canada. Wylde joined Clariant in 2002 as a Senior Chemist for Oil Services based in Aberdeen, UK. He later relocated to Houston, where he served as the Oil Services Technical Manager for North America.

Knight Oil Tools announced that Michael Brady, Director of Human Resources, has earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. The certification is awarded by the HR Certification Institute, and signifies that he has proven his knowledge and practical experience in human resources management.

GEP (Groupement des Entreprises Parapétrolières et Paragazières – Group of oil and gas supply and service companies) has elected Jean Ropers as organization President. He has spent most of his career at Total in the E&P division. Since 2007, he has been VP of GEP President of the GEP-led CITEPH Program, which funds technological innovation in oil exploration and production.

Devon Energy Corp. has appointed David A. Hager as Executive VP, Exploration and Production. He was previously a member of Devon’s board of directors since 2007. He served as COO of Kerr-McGee Corp. prior to its merger with Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

Halliburton announced that Cris Gaut, President of the Drilling and Evaluation Division, has retired from the company. Tim Probert, a 25-year industry veteran, has returned to the division as its President, while also retaining his responsibilities for leading Halliburton’s technology, supply chain management, and mergers and acquisitions activity.

Jens Ulltveit-Moe has stepped down as Board Chairperson of PGS ASA, a position he has held since September 2002. Francis Gugen will replace him as Board Chairperson. Gugen has been a member of the PGS board since 2003.

Noble Denton announced two executive appointments within its American operations. The company appointed Michael Lowe as Global Business Team Group Director, Project Management Services, and Vernon Luning as President, Lowe Offshore International, US Project Management Services. Lowe has had a 35-year career in domestic and international oil and gas project management and market development in the US and in Europe, New Zealand, Ecuador, Brazil, Thailand, China and Mexico. He is the founder of Lowe Offshore International, which was acquired by Noble Denton in 2007. Luning previously served as Senior Project Manager with Lowe Offshore International, and has more than 35 years of industry experience in offshore construction management. Also, Arthur Aragon, the Group Director for Project Management Services, will relocate to Brazil to work on the company’s project services there.

Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services named Dr. Alessandro Colla to its business development team. He will focus his efforts on the European-African-Middle Eastern region. Colla has more than 15 years of international management and technical experience within the exploration and geospatial industries.

DOYLES announced the hiring of Bruce Terrill to the newly created position of VP, Business Development. He will be located in Dubai, UAE, where he will serve as the company’s primary contact for the MENA Region and the Jebel Ali Free Zone. Terrill is a 30-year veteran of the oilfield service industry.

Fulbright & Jaworski has named Ben McQuhae as a partner in the international law firm. McQuhae focuses on oil and gas, coal and other energy-related transactions in Asia. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2001, and joined Fulbright in 2004 to help further develop the firm’s energy practice in Asia. In 2007, he was seconded to an international oil company in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Superior Energy Services, Inc. announced that Patrick J. Campbell has been named Executive VP. Since 2000, he has served as the President and COO of Superior subsidiary Wild Well Control, Inc.

Foster Marketing Communications announced recent changes within the company. Kristy Bonner was promoted to Account Executive and Digital Strategist, Jamie Efurd to Account Executive,  Megan Hebert to Trade Show Coordinator, and Lauren Galligan to Marketing Director in addition to her role as Media Buyer.

NATCO Group Inc. announced that Walter T. Weathers III has joined the company as VP Finance. He has held positions in the investment banking, petrochemical and private equity industries, most recently as a principal of The Catalyst Group, a middle-market focused private equity firm.

Independent oilfield services company TAM International announced that
Carlos Fernando Gonzalez Carrillo has joined the company as Country Manager for Mexico. He has spent the majority of his career at PEMEX, at which he served most recently as Sub Director for the Northern Region.
