BJ Services appointed Bruce Campbell to the position of Senior Region Operations Manager, Europe & Africa Region, with the Well Services Division. Previously, he was Norway Country Manager in Stavanger. With 29 years of experience in the oil industry, Campbell joined BJ Services in 1996 when the company acquired his employer, Nowsco.

Knowledge Systems announced that Monica Danna has been named Director of Marketing. She joins the company from SAT Corp. Previously, Danna held various marketing and public relations positions in Houston and in Europe.

The engineering and project management firm Amec plc announced that Didier Pfleger has joined the company as COO, Power and Process. He was also appointed to the management committee. Pfleger was previously Head of Business Unit Systems at ABB’s Robotics division.

Tamm Oil and Gas Corp. announced that William Tighe was named Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is currently COO, President and Director of Kodiak Energy. Tighe has over 29 years of experience with Canadian and international oil and gas companies.

Pauline L. Schultz, author and curator, and founder of the Salt Creek Oil Field Museum in Wyoming, was awarded a National Humanities Medal for 2007 by President George W. Bush. Schultz was one of nine people honored for their exemplary contributions to the humanities. The Salt Creek area was one of the richest oil deposits in North America, producing an estimated 20% of all the petroleum used in the US in the 1920s, peaking at about 100,000 bpd. In addition to founding and running the museum, Schultz has written a book on the history of the Wyoming oil field.

Halliburton announced that Christian Garcia was named VP of Investor Relations, and Evelyn Angelle was named VP of Operations Finance. Garcia, a 12-year Halliburton employee, was VP of Operations Finance since July 2006. Angelle, before attaining her current position, was responsible for external reporting of consolidated financial statements, technical accounting research and consultation and income tax accounting. She was previously with Ernst & Young LLP for 15 years.

Kristy Blosch has been named the Public Relations Account Executive at Foster Marketing Communications. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she received a BA degree in public relations and Spanish, and a master’s in Business Administration.

Hardide Coatings, Inc., appointed Ken Siddall as Managing Director of its tungsten carbide-based coatings manufacturing facility in Houston. He was president of Cerbide, Inc., since 2004, and before that he worked for more than 15 years with Emerson Electric.

Tudor, Pickering, & Co. announced Maynard Holt has joined the firm as Co-President, and the energy investment and merchant banking firm will be known as Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Holt, who will lead the firm’s upstream advisory practice, will be Co-President with Dan Pickering, a company founder. Previously he was a Managing Director with Goldman Sachs. Also, Ward Polzin has joined the firm as Managing Director. He was previously US Country Manager at Enerplus Resources in Denver, Colorado.

Technip has appointed John Harrison as General Counsel to its executive committee. In this newly created function, Harrison will be responsible for all group legal, corporate and compliance matters. Previously, he was General Counsel of the Defence and Security Division of EADS.

Reservoir services company Geotrace announced that Steve Svatek has joined the company’s technical implementation and production testing group. Svatek will focus on the Geotrace Diamond project-a new software platform that processes and integrates all data types and formats involved in E&P. He has 35 years of experience in the oil industry, most recently with Hydro/Spinnaker as an internal processor.

Clayton Hendricks has joined UPCO, Inc., as Sales Engineer. He has over 20 years of experience in the sucker rod industry, and co-authored the widely used sucker rod failure analysis brochure published by Norris. He worked previously with Continental Emsco for 12 years, and for 18 years with Trico (now Weatherford).

Acteon has appointed Shahrokh Mohammadi as VP of Operations for InterAct, the company recently formed by the group to provide activity management services. He has over 23 years in the oil industry, 14 of these with JP Kenny, four of which were as deputy director of that company’s operations in Azerbaijan.

Blacksands Petroleum, Inc., has appointed Paul A. Parisotto as President and CEO. Since December 2004, Parisotto served as a Director and the President and CEO of Arizona Star Resource Corp.

Houston Technology Center named Linda Toyota as Senior VP for Development, a newly created position. Toyota was previously VP of DePelchin Children’s Center.
