Norman Robertson has joined Schilling Robotics, LLC, as director of remote systems application. Based in Houston, he will focus on expanding Schilling’s remote technology product line. Previously, Robertson held positions for 20 years with Perry Slingsby Systems as a design engineer, project manager and general manager.

Ellen Aronson is the new regional manager for the Minerals Management Service Pacific Region, which manages energy and mineral resources on federal lands offshore California, Oregon and Washington. Joan Barminski has been selected as deputy manager. Aronson has 27 years of experience working in the Interior Department’s OCS oil and gas program, most recently as MMS Pacific Region Deputy Manager. Barminski is a geologist with 27 years of experience in petroleum geology and offshore oil and gas regulation. She was previously chief of the MMS Pacific Region’s Office of Reservoir Evaluation and Production.

Wintershall AG named Dr. Ties Tiessen, currently general manager of Wintershall Libya, as a member of the Board of Executive Directors of the wholly owned subsidiary of BASF. Tiessen will head up the new Production sector, created by dividing the existing Exploration and Production sector.

The 80th International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement announced that Dr. George Mattingly is the recipient of the 2005 Laurance S. Reid Award. This honor is presented each year to a distinguished contributor to the oil and natural gas industry in the area of fluids measurement and/or control. Mattingly is an engineer with over 45 years of experience in fluid mechanics and flow metrology. For 25 years he was the leader of the Fluid Flow Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, formerly the National Bureau of Standards.

Tiffany Harris has been named executive VP at Foster Marketing Communications (FMC), and will oversee all Louisiana operations from the company’s Lafayette, La., office. FMC also appointed Daniel Foster as account executive of its newly formed Dallas/ Fort Worth office and Jamie Walling as marketing director of its Houston office. Foster Marketing Communications is a business-to-business marketing, advertising and public relations firm.

International Fuel Technology Inc., a fuel science and research company, appointed Jayne A. Winfrey president and COO, and named Gary S. Hirstein as executive VP and CFO. Both come to IFT from Shell Oil Co., where Winfrey mostly recently was general manager of Marketing, Fuels & Convenience Retailing and Hirstein was property and planning manager.

Mission Resources Corp. announced today that William R. Picquet has joined the company as senior VP - Operations & Engineering. He will be responsible for managing all operations of the Company and for the evaluation, development and implementation of drilling programs. Most recently, Picquet was CEO of M3 Energy, a private E&P Company.

Ann M. Oglesby was named general manager of ConocoPhillips Specialty Products, Inc. (CSPI). Previously, Oglesby was manager of ConocoPhillips’ Emerging Technology group. Prior to joining the company, she was employed with ExxonMobil.

Shell Exploration & Production Co. announced that Peter Velez, its Regulatory Affairs and Incident Command manager, has accepted a global assignment managing EP’s Security & Emergency Response. Velez will relocate to Houston and will be responsible for development and progressive implementation of EP security and emergency response improvements worldwide.

Wood Group ESP has promoted Mark Neinast to Southwest region manager, responsible for the company’s New Mexico and West Texas areas, as well as manufacturing, inventory and administrative services for the region. Neinast brings 24 years of oilfield experience – the last 20 years focused on artificial lift. He joined Wood Group ESP in 1999 and was promoted to West Texas area manager in 2003.

Don Roesle, former president of Ryder Scott Petroleum Consultants, has been named CEO. Former CEO Ron Harrell will remain chairman. John Hodgin, former executive VP, is the new president, and Fred Richoux, former managing senior VP, is the new executive VP.

Aberdeen-based PSL Energy Services Ltd has appointed Dicky Robichaux, a global authority on hydraulic workovers, snubbing and well intervention, as VP, Well Intervention. Robichaux most recently played a leading role in supervising major projects to rebuild the oil and gas assets of Iraq. In his 25 years with Halliburton, he managed some of the largest hydraulic workover contracts and completed some of the largest blowout incidents ever performed.

Matt Silverman was named exploration manager of Robert L. Bayless, Producer. Based in Denver, Silverman is responsible for the Geological and Land departments there and in Farmington, New Mexico. The company has producing and exploratory assets in the southern and central Rocky Mountain regions of the US and in Australia.

John F. Imle, Jr., joined Vanco Energy Co. as president. Gene Van Dyke has been named chairman. Imle has more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, mostly overseas. After serving with Unocal Corp. as vice chairman, he engaged in energy consulting, with emphasis on Asia.
