Superior Energy Services Inc. has appointed Ken Blanchard as president. He will continue in his current role as chief operating officer. Blanchard has more than 30 years of oil and gas industry experience, and has been a member of Superior’s senior management team for more than 10 years. He served as VP prior to becoming COO in June 2002.

Bill Wittwer has joined the Dallas, Texas-based Messina Inc. as director, business development. He has more than 25 years of international technical and operational management experience for Messina, an integrated oilfield chemicals and engineering services company, and other companies.

Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping plc (OHM), a provider of remote electromagnetic sensing services for the offshore, appointed Larry Scott as VP. Scott will focus will be on developing OHM’s marketing function and on establishing the company’s new office in Houston, Texas. He joins OHM from GX Technology, where he was senior VP of Integrated Seismic Solutions.

TGS Imaging, the processing and imaging arm of TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co., named Dr. Young Kim VP of R&D. Kim, a 24-year veteran of geophysical research, comes to the company from ExxonMobil Exploration, where he was a technical advisor on special projects for subsurface depth imaging.

Natural Gas Services Group, Inc., an equipment and services provider to the oil and gas industry, announced that Stephen C. Taylor joined the company as president and CEO. He was most recently the US general manager of Trican Production Services. Wallace Sparkman, interim president and CEO of Natural Gas Services, was elected chairman of the board of directors.

O’Rourke Petroleum named Terryn Warton as purchasing and planning manager for the company’s Lubricants division. Warton has 10 years of experience with Delta Petroleum. Also, Debbie Baker will serve in the Specialty Fuels division as a customer service representative.

Les Mitchell has joined Geotrace as VP Europe, Africa and Middle East, based in London. Previously, Mitchell spent seven years with Fugro-Jason as general manager for EAME & CIS. Jaime Stein has joined the company as chief geophysicist in Geotrace’s Reservoir Services division. He has over 20 years of experience in a variety of research and management positions in the industry. Additionally, Brian Williams was promoted to general manager, Dallas Seismic and Reservoir Services Operations. Williams joined Geotrace several years ago after a career with Western Geophysical.

Stress Engineering Services (SES), promoted Jack E. Miller to VP. Miller has been managing principal of the Mohr Engineering Division of SES since 1999, and an integral part of the company for 25 years. Additionally, Kurt D. Vandervort and Terry M. Lechinger have been named principals of Stress Engineering.

Brian A. Butler, a petroleum engineer with 23 years of experience in the industry, joined TIORCO, Inc., as head of the firm’s new Houston area office. Butler's prior positions included senior petroleum engineer and technical advisor for Maritech Resources, Inc.

Invensys Process Systems announced that Virginia Burnell has been appointed president of the company’s North America operations. She previously served in a variety of managerial and executive positions at Honeywell International, including VP and general manager of Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions. Most recently, Burnell served as VP and COO of PAS Inc.

Dr. Kenneth E. Lehrer was appointed to the newly created position of VP, CFO of the Houston-based Aztec Oil & Gas, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in finance-related industries. Since the early 1980s, Lehrer has operated Lehrer Financial and Economic Advisory Services, a financial consulting company.
