UWG Group appointed Alan MacKenzie Engineering Services business manager. MacKenzie, who will be based in Norwich, joins the company from Baker Oil Tools, where he held positions in design engineering, international operations and marketing. Most recently, MacKenzie was involved in intelligent well design for Eastern Hemisphere applications. He has been awarded patents in underbalanced completions, multilateral drilling and completions and in expandable technologies.

He has been awarded patents in underbalanced completions, multilateral drilling and completions and in expandable technologies.

WellCut Inc., a cutting and abandonment service provider to the offshore oil and gas industry, appointed Neil McKay as general manager. McKay is a chartered engineer, graduating in1983 in Mechanical and Offshore Engineering, and subsequently obtained a PG diploma in Computer Applications in Engineering and a masters in offshore engineering, both from Robert Gordon University. He was previously with UWG Group, managing the company’s subsea well abandonment business.

Landmark Graphics promoted Murray Roth to executive VP of Marketing & Systems. He was most recently Landmark’s executive VP of R&D. Dean Witte succeeds Roth as executive VP of R&D. During his 10 years at Landmark, he has held a variety of technical and technical management positions. Previously, Dean led the Exploration and Development R&D group.

Nova Technology Corp. appointed Bob Rees and Seb Patout to VP Global Operations, and VP Global Business Development, respectively. Rees will serve on the Strategic Planning Team and as liaison between operations to research, development and engineering for product development support. Patout will be responsible to pursue, identify, and evaluate large-scale business opportunities on a global basis. 

Wood Group appointed Joseph (Joe) F. Brady to the positions of chairman, president and CEO of Wood Group ESP. Mr. Brady has held a variety of general management positions and is best known in the artificial lift industry as the former president of Centrilift, a Baker Hughes company. He retired from Baker Hughes in 2001, following 20 years of service. WO
