Extreme-service pumps

Moyno, Inc., a unit of Robbins & Myers, Inc., has a new brochure describing the Moyno PowerFlow high-performance process pump for demanding applications. The pump is designed for extremely viscous, abrasive or corrosive applications and outperforms other positive-displacement pumps for handling fluids such as adhesives and sealants, paints, coatings, asphalts, polymers and petroleum. The brochure includes an overview of the pump, its capabilities, typical applications, materials options, accessories and performance capability chart.

Wires selection guide

Fig 2Lincoln Electric Co. has published a free literature entitled “Outershield Wires Product Catalog” that describes its line of gas-shielded flux-cored and metal-cored wires. The booklet provides a quick-reference selection chart and detailed information on each electrode. The outershield electrode line delivers controlled chemical composition, precise fill and targeted arc characteristics, resulting in outstanding arc stability, exceptional chemistry and superior feedability. Unlike solid electrodes, the fill of flux-cored wires can be adjusted to produce more or less slag, tailored for particular gas compatibility or modified for use in any welding position.
