Fittings and adapters

Fig 1Brennan Industries, Inc., introduced a capabilities brochure, Brennan – The Future of Fitting. The six-page, four-color brochure highlights a line of more than 10,000 products and related services. Available products, quality, customers, technical and engineering support, web catalog and warehousing are covered in this brochure. The company offers manufacturing capabilities for a wide range of precision-machined parts and its partners with other suppliers for hydraulic/ pneumatic systems and subsystems featuring Brennan’s fittings. This product line includes pipe and straight thread fittings, O-ring face-seal fittings, 37° flare tube fittings, forged fittings, international fittings and adapter unions.

Composite mat system

A full-color brochure describes SOLOCO’s DURA-BASE composite mat system. The product offers a safe, solid cost-effective solution to industry’s transportation needs, including roads, turnarounds and staging areas. The mats resist crushing by heavy machinery. Interlocking and or staggering of mats provides an essentially continuous foundation that distributes heavy equipment weight over a large area. The result is a strong, flexible, stable, all-weather work surface.

Open hopper pump

Seepex has a brochure that highlights a new type of open-hopper pump designed to transport extremely viscous products and de-watered sludge cake. The pump is built to transport materials up to 3 million cps and waste water sludge with more than 50% solids. It can be used to mix CaO with biosolids to meet EPA and land application requirements. The new design uses a feed auger that operates separately from the pump rotor shaft. This allows the auger to operate concentrically and to be driven at a speed that is independent from the pump speed.

Offshore equipment

Fig 1FMC EnergySystems’ new brochure lists its latest products such as its energy production and processing systems. It also describes the company’s subsea products and systems, such as those used on Terra Nova, offshore Newfoundland, Canada, and the Girassol project off the coast of Angola, West Africa. The company describes how its equipment is used in major fields worldwide. Equipment items include floating production systems and marine terminals, loading and transfer systems, liquid and gas measurement solutions, flowline products, production systems, and pumps, blending and transfer solutions.

Wellheads

R&M Energy Systems is offering a 28-page product catalog on its line of Hercules above-ground, and submergible casing and tubing heads to use in PCP, ESP and beam pump applications. The bulletin features product specifications, dimension charts, photography, features and benefits. All wellheads feature a patented slip element with a positive mechanical stop that limits slip travel and reduces hoop stress in the wellhead body. It also transfers as much weight as the threaded connection can withstand without crushing the pipe ID below API drift diameter. In addition, Hercules wellheads feature pressure-assisted, contoured packing for positive pack-off with minimum compression.

Arab petroleum directory

The 28th edition of the Arab Oil and Gas Directory, published by Petromedia, includes 648 pages of in-depth surveys and the latest data covering the oil, gas and petrochemical industries in 20 Arabic countries. Its maps illustrate oil and gas fields and facilities in the Middle East and North Africa and it includes 267 tables and graphs. The directory gives facts, figures, details and analysis of the estimated $120 billion investments needed in these countries.

Alloy brochure

Rolled Alloys has a revised Corrosion Resistant Alloy brochure that incorporates extensive corrosion tables on its products and more than 36 other corrosion-resistant alloys. Design stress information along with alloy compositions, mechanical and physical properties, specifications and welding guidelines are included.

Geology basics

Bernard Biju-Duval’s Sedimentary Geology at Technip introduces readers to the geology of sedimentary basins and petroleum exploration. It describes the geodynamic mechanisms that interact on Earth, the formation and main types of sedimentary basins, continental and marine deposition environments, stratigraphic sequences and their transformations during burial and tectonic deformations. It concludes with a discussion of the formation of hydrocarbon fields and petroleum systems.
