A new eight-page brochure from Metso Automation describes the full line of Jamesbury valve packages, accessories and support services. Included is a review of the company’s proprietary sealing technologies, including Xtreme seats, Double-Seal ball valves and Wafer-Sphere high-performance butterfly valves, as well as the MatchMaker automation program for ensuring the integrity of mixed brand packages.
The PROFIBUS Trade Organization announced the all-new PROFInet Installation Guide, giving users needed information to implement Ethernet-based PROFInet in industrial and office environments. The document is intended to promote broad acceptance of the network protocol by users in industrial automation. The guideline provides all requirements for system-specific network structures and topology, connection technology, cabling, high network availability, plus EMC load and mechanical ruggedness. It is based on the common standards IEC 11801 and EN 50173 for office areas, but expanded to include conditions found in industrial production and field environments.
