InterOil Corp. has appointed Mr. Gary Duvall vice president of corporate development, (17 years infrastructure experience with Williams) with responsibilities of securing participants in InterOil's exploration licenses and acreage, which total 6.2 million acres, and developing infrastructure projects for refinery and exploration activities.

Humble, Texas-based NuTech Energy Alliance added Myles Carver and to its staff as senior petrophysicist, responsible for petrophysical products. Dennis Wyatt joined NuTech as Senior Account Manager, responsible for sales and customer support of petrophysical products. 

Bruno Ramos joined JDR Cable as technical sales engineer. Wayne Perrard joined as applications engineer. The firm designs and manufactures subsea cables and umbilicals

Robert Hollier and Steve Brading joined Pinnacle Energy Solutions as owners and directors of the company. Their responsibilities will be to assist in the development of a business model that will provide broad growth potential and to evaluate acquisitions and financing to support rapid growth.

Thomas E. Congdon is retiring as chairman of the board of St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. He will continue to serve as a board member. Mark A. Hellerstein was elected chairman of the board.

Washington Group International promoted Frank S. Finlayson to senior VP of project development.

Gary C. Youngblood, president and CEO, will retire at the end of the year from Alagasco Gas Corp. after 34 years of service with the firm.

Marisé Mikulis joined Microsoft Corp. as senior strategist for enterprise solutions for the energy industry.

Energy Scitech Ltd. appointed Jim Clark as VP of its new Houston-based organization, Energy Scitech Inc.

Dresser Inc. appointed current Technology VP Brian White reengineering VP.

Victor A. Burke joined Deloite & Touche as managing partner of the oil and gas group.

Chris Haynes, currently CEO, North West Shelf Ventures, accepted the position as Shell’s country chairman in Syria and CEO of the Al Furat Petroleum Co.

Board chairman Jürgen Dormann assumed operational leadership of ABB Group. Jörgen Centerman has resigned as president and CEO and as a board member.

Alberta Research Council Inc. appointed Doug McMillan business development manager and planning for the energy division. He will work with energy business units in Calgary, Devon and Edmonton to develop and implement plans for long-term growth.

Raymond G. Smith became president and CEO of Meridian Energy Corp. Philip E. Collins is exploration VP.

Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation elected Phillip Wm. Lear president for the 2002 – 2003 term.

Javad Mortazavi, senior structural engineer, has joined EDG’s Houston-based office as a project manager. He brings 20 years of experience to EDG in civil / structural engineering to the firm, including offshore structural analysis, design and project management.

Thomas W. Comstock was named COO of Furmanite Worldwide, Inc., a technical services firm supplying solutions throughout the industry from offshore and land-based drilling operations, to refineries and power generation facilities.

The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Board of Directors elected 2003 Officers at its Annual Meeting in San Antonio on September 25. Lawrence R. Dickerson, president and COO, Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc., Chairman; Marion Woolie, senior VP-operations, GlobalSantaFe Corporation vice chairman; Ed Kautz, managing director, Caza Drilling, secretary-treasurer. The Takgroup appointed Gary D. Bevers supplier solutions VP and to the advisory board.

Ian Fraser was appointed business development manager Middle East & Asia Pacific for BJ Process and Pipeline Services.

Randall & Dewey named Claire S. Farley as CEO.

The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LACOE) elected John Bodin, Delmar Systems, Inc., to serve as chairman of the LAGCOE 2003. Other newly elected officers are co-chairman, Alfred Thomas, II, president and COO of PetroQuest Energy; Francis Brossard, production manager of Operators and Consulting Services Inc., treasurer. Sally Ware continues as event manager / director. 

Enventure Global Technology appointed Michael L. Teers as COO.

 Frank’s assigned Robert Gilbert to administration and sales VP. Mark Veverica became safety and operations VP and Mike Webre is engineering VP.

Michael Coffield joined Vanco Energy as affiliates manager. Dean Pierce joined as chief drilling engineer.  WO
