Conoco’s Archie Dunham was presented with the Directors’ Award for Global Vision in Energy from New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) at a banquet May 1 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Waldemar S. Nelson and Co., Inc., promoted Wayne J. Hingle, Arthur J. Smith and Stephen A. Troxler to VP.

John Adamick was named business development VP for TGS NOPEC. Karen El-Tawil was named Gulf of Mexico VP. Eric Déliac was appointed Eastern Hemisphere senior VP.

Vivendi Water named Finn Nielsen president of Kruger A/S.

Marlan W. Downey, Bartell professor of geology and chief scientist at the Sarkeys Center at the University of Oklahoma assumed the presidency of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists on July 1.

Aker Maritime, Inc., named Jim O’Sullivan senior VP of Alternative Deepwater Business Solutions.

Earle C. Hellums died Thursday, May 25, in Houston, Texas. He was president of Gracey-Hellums Company, a Houston, Texas-based drilling contractor and the 1965 president of American Association of Oilfield Drilling Contractors. WO
