Charles Reimer joined British-Borneo Exploration as president. Due to the merger with Hardy Oil and Gas, changes have been made to the executive board. Alan Gaynor is CEO; Peter Hill became technical director and Steven Holliday is international director. Mark Adams, Will Roach, Mike Adams and Mike King were named VPs.

Oceaneering International promoted T. Jay Collins to president and COO. Ronald L. Welch was promoted to senior VP of Oceaneering Space and Thermal Systems.

John McGinn joined Alfa Laval Flow Inc. as application engineering manager, Industrial Pump Division.

Ray A. Ballantyne was appointed marketing, technology and business development VP for Baker Hughes Inc.

Barbara J. Dunn was named assistant to the president of Texaco Worldwide Exploration.

Bo Eagles was appointed president of Kvaerner Oilfield Products Inc.

Ramco Oil & Gas appointed Philip E. Maxwell president of Muradkhanli Operating Co.

Petrotechnical Open Software Corp.’s elected officers are John Hanten, Chevron; Nico de Rooij, Shell; Kamal Al-Yahya, Saudi Aramco; Thore Langeland, Statoil; Bob Pindell, Texaco; Bernard Potier, Elf.

Shelton McMath was promoted to worldwide sales director for M-I L.L.C.

Gary S. Wagner joined Samson Resources Co. as senior geologist.

John W. Chisholm formed Chisholm Energy Partners, an investment and acquisition firm focusing on small-to-medium-sized companies in the energy service sector.

HTK Consultants, Inc., named Robert L. Zaunbrecher senior VP. Jay Davis was named operations senior VP.

Steve Peterson will relocate to Jacksonville to oversee Crowley Marine Services’ East Coast and international operations.

Timothy S. Knobloch joined James Engineering, Inc., on the engineering consulting team.

Gary Walker was named president of AC Compressor.

Gérard Chambovet was appointed geophysical services executive VP for CGG.

Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. elected Ralph H. Harnett president and CEO.

Jeff Dwiggins joined Electric Submersible Pumps, Inc., as VP of engineering and technology.

H. Curtis Laughlin joined the business development and marketing department of Stokes & Spiehler.

Andergauge named Stuart Masson to head its corporate applications engineering group in the UK and Robert Dinnie to head its U.S. applications engineering group. John F. "Jay" Gilbert, Jr., and Stuart Estes joined the sales force as district sales representatives.

K.-Peter Hammer has taken over as marine engine sales director of DEUTZ AG.

Texaco’s Peter I. Bijur and L. Frank Pitts, an independent producer, have been awarded the Texas oil and gas industry’s most prestigious honor — Texas Oil & Gas Association’s Distinguished Service Award.

J. P. Bryan has assumed the position of senior managing director of Torch Energy Advisors.

Robert L. Ayers was appointed president of ITT Industries’ Industrial Pump Group.

DEATHS

William D. "Bill" Kent died Dec. 1 at the age of 76. His entire career was in the offshore drilling industry. He started with Salt Dome Production Co. in 1946, and retired from Reading & Bates Drilling Co. after 24 years, including 11 years as CEO.
