Real-Time Operations
Special supplement to World Oil September 2010
Oilfield operators and service companies are using real-time operations to monitor wellsite activities as they are taking place. This capability allows asset team staff and technical experts to work in a collaborative manner to achieve drilling, formation evaluation and production optimization as well as forestall potential problems and reduce NPT. The real-time infrastructure consists of live data, voice and video centers linked via satellite communications links.
World Oil will examine the latest trends in real-time operations with articles from leading operators and service companies, including an update from the Integrated Operations in the High North (IOHN) project.
