EnerMech has appointed Salvatore Cutino as regional director for Africa, based in Cape Town, South Africa.

EnerMech has appointed Salvatore Cutino as regional director for Africa, based in Cape Town, South Africa. With more than 40 years of experience in marine and offshore services, mechanical engineering and project management, Cutino joins from Harris Pye Engineering group, where he was international business development manager. 

Polarcus Limited announced the appointment of Lars Oestergaard as COO, where he will lead the geophysical, operations and sales teams, as well as EHSQ. Prior to joining the company, Oestergaard was employed at Maersk Drilling, where he held a number of operational and commercial roles, most recently as CCO.

Michael Sasse assumed additional responsibilities at the BASF subsidiary Wintershall. As head of communications and government relations, Sasse has been responsible for overseeing political and corporate communications. In this new position,  he will work with the company’s representative offices in Berlin and Brussels.

Trelleborg’s offshore operation appoints Ralph Wu as its sales manager for China, where he will focus on oil and gas, renewables, mining and heavy construction markets. For the last nine years, Wu has worked for an offshore equipment company, responsible for product market positioning, new product development and key technology breakthroughs.

Jorge Unda has been appointed CEO of SENER Group. With more than 30 years of experience, Unda began with the company in 1986, where he held various leadership roles, until his appointment to managing director of engineering and construction in 1998. Unda replaces Jorge Sendagorta, who previously combined the positions of president and CEO. Sendagorta will remain president of SENER’s board of directors. 

Chaparral Energy, Inc., has expanded its board of directors from seven to eight members and has appointed David Geenberg as a new, independent member of the board. Geenberg serves as co-head of the North American investment team for SVPGlobal, and also serves on the boards of directors of Silverbow Resources and Penn Virginia Corporation, as a co-chairman. Geenberg joined the company in 2009, and has led the firm’s energy, power and infrastructure sector investment efforts. 

Petroteq Energy Inc. appointed Frank Ingriselli to its advisory board. He brings over 30 years of oil exploration and production experience to the company, and will focus on heavy oil extraction. Previously, he founded Blackhawk Energy Ventures in 2016, serving as the president and CEO. Prior to that, he was the founder and chairman of Pacific Energy Development. Ingriselli was also the former president and CEO of Erin Energy Inc., and Pacific Asia Petroleum, Inc.

Nichole Hartzeim has been promoted to director of business development for Offshore Technical Compliance. Hartzheim serves as both senior quality manager and technical sales engineer at OTC Solutions. During her time with the company, she was responsible for managing projects for compliance services, and developing the processes and procedures in the regulatory compliance department. 

Anne Drinkwater and Jonathan Lewis have been elected as new members to Equinor’s board of directors. Most recently, Drinkwater was CEO of BP Canada, and was responsible for operations worldwide. In addition, Lewis joined as CEO of Capita. Previously, Lewis served as CEO with Amec Foster Wheeler plc.

Acoustic Data appointed Gavin Lindsay as COO. He brings more than 25 years of drilling and evaluation experience to the role. Most recently, Lindsay served as business development director with READ Cased Hole, and held senior sales and marketing roles with BHGE.

Aqualis Offshore has appointed Mark McNeil Cassidy as country manager in Qatar. As a master mariner, he brings 31 years of seagoing experience, including 24 years in the offshore oil and gas industry and five years in shore-based consultancy, to the company. Previously, he held positions with Global Maritime in Egypt, DNV GL in Doha and was master with Gulf Offshore North Sea Limited.

Mike Diehl has joined ASHCOR LLC as sales manager and will oversee business development in the Permian region and Texas, as a whole. He brings more than 30 years of experience in technical sales and business management to the company.  Prior to this, Diehl managed sales teams for organizations, including Weatherford International and Schlumberger.

Three60 Energy announced the appointment of new board member, and CEO, North Sea, Walter Thain. He brings 28 years of oil and gas experience to the company, and most recently was managing director for engineering and production services at Petrofac. 

David M. Wood has been appointed to the Lilis Energy board of directors. Wood brings 40 years of experience, including CEO, president, and member of the board of directors of Murphy Oil Corp., from 2009-2012; manager, Frontier Exploration and president of Murphy Exploration and Production, from 1994-2008, and Ashland Exploration as V.P., international, from 1980-1994. Wood replaces G. Tyler Runnels.

Akselos has appointed Jens Peter Riber to its advisory board, to focus on asset management. Prior to joining the company, Riber spent over 30 years with Maersk Oil, where he held various engineering and leadership positions, including technical director and director of engineering. 

Klas Bendrik joins DNV GL as chief digital transformation officer. Previously, Bendrik served as executive partner and V.P. at Gartner, where he oversaw research and services for Sweden and Denmark. Prior to that, he held several executive positions at Volvo Car Group, including senior V.P. IT & CIO. Bendrik will be based in Høvik, Norway. 

Aquaterra Energy Group announced the appointment of George Morrison as CEO. Morrison will focus on expansion within the oilfield market through strategic acquisitions. In addition, James Larnder will fill Morrison’s previous role as managing director, and plans to drive further business growth and product innovation.

C-Innovation, LLC, an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore, has appointed Shaun Lazenby as commercial manager.  Lazenby previously served in a variety of engineering roles for organizations, including Subsea 7 LLC, HPR (UK) Ltd, GE European Energy and i-Tech Service, and most recently as an aircraft engine technician for the Royal Air Force (UK). 

Keelan Adamson, Transocean Ltd’s senior V.P. of operations, has assumed the responsibilities of John Stobart, executive V.P., COO, and chief performance officer, who is retiring. Prior to this, Adamson has served in multiple executive positions, with responsibilities spanning engineering and technical services, major capital projects, human resources, and more recently, operations integrity and HSE.
