Clay Neff has been selected to succeed Ali Moshiri, who will retire as president of Chevron Africa and Latin America E&P, effective April 1. Moshiri has been a valued employee of Chevron for 38 years. Neff, who most recently served as managing director of Chevron’s Nigeria Mid-Africa business unit, will now oversee the company’s E&P activities in 15 countries throughout Africa and Latin America. He has been with the company since 1985.

David Peattie has been nominated for Atlantic Petroleum’s board of directors. Peattie serves as non-executive chairman of Independent Oil and Gas. With more than 35 years of industry experience, Peattie most recently served as CEO of Fairfield Energy. In addition, Clint Redman is joining Atlantic Petroleum as head of corporate finance. He has 35 years of experience in investment banking.

Charlotte Bishop, remote sensing projects manager of NPA Satellite Mapping at CGG, has been elected as chair of the Geological Remote Sensing Group (GRSG), a special interest group of the Geological Society of London and the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society. Bishop has served on the group’s committee since 2008, and she became secretary in 2013. At CGG, Bishop manages technical sales and key account management. She has an academic background in physical geography and remote sensing, as well as almost 10 years of experience at NPA Satellite Mapping.

Tesco Corporation has appointed John Gatlin as senior V.P. and COO. In his new role, Gatlin will lead the products and tubular services segments, as well as the company’s QHSE, global manufacturing and supply chain management. With 20 years of energy services and consulting experience, Gatlin has held numerous senior management positions at companies including Chemeor Inc. and National Oilwell Varco.

David Honeyfield has been named CFO and senior V.P. at PDC Energy, Inc. In his new position, Honeyfield will manage the company’s financial, accounting and treasury processes. He brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role. He most recently served as V.P. and CFO at Jonah Energy, in Denver, Colo. He also has held previous roles at companies including Intrepid Potash, SM Energy and Cimarex Energy.

Eric Von Lunen has joined ESG Solutions as senior advisor of reservoir and rock mass characterization. He draws on 30 years of industry experience. Additionally, Dr. Doug Angus has joined the microseismic technology company as advisor of geomechanics, where he will provide support across all ESG business units. Angus is an expert in the development of integrated fluid-flow, geomechanical and seismic modeling algorithms. Dr. William de Beer also joined the company in August as senior manager for Australia. He brings 19 years of industry experience to his new position.

Viking Oil Tools, a division of Wellsite Fishing and Rental Services, has named a new regional manager. Based in Hobbs, N.M., and Midland/Odessa, Texas, Michael Foster will manage the delivery of products and services offered by the company. He brings 37 years of oil and gas management experience to his new position.

Niko Resources has announced the resignation of CEO and Director Robert S. Ellsworth, Jr. The company has named William T. Hornaday as the new CEO. An engineer with more than 40 years of experience, Hornaday has served on the company’s board of directors since 2007. Additionally, he has served as COO since 2004. The company also appointed Scott K. Brandt as director. Brandt previously worked as a consultant, providing various advisory services to the company.

Claude Mongeau has been appointed to Cenovus Energy’s board of directors. After serving the Canadian National Railway Company for 22 years, which included time spent as the company’s president and CEO, Mongeau held a number of other senior leadership roles throughout his career.

SBM Offshore has appointed D. H. M. Wood as a member of the company’s management board for a four-year term. Wood also was nominated as CFO of the company by the supervisory board. He will succeed P. M. Van Rossum, who retired as CFO and management board member on Nov. 30, 2016.

Following the unexpected passing of Mineral Technologies’ chairman and CEO, Joseph C. Muscari, in September, the company’s board of directors has elected Douglas T. Dietrich as the new CEO. Dietrich joined the company in 2007, and has since held a series of senior leadership roles. His most recent role being CFO, which he assumed in 2011. His professional background includes experience in engineering, manufacturing, finance, and general management, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Asset Guardian Solutions has named Mark Steel as UK business development manager. In his new role, Steel will develop relationships with existing and prospective clients throughout the UK. Based in Cheshire, England, he will work to increase the profile of the company’s complete portfolio of capabilities, software products and consulting services. Previously, Steel worked for PMI Software as a business development manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Overall, he brings 33 years of experience to his new position.

John Hatley, V.P., Americas, and director of market shaping at Wärtsilä Marine Solutions, has been elected as a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA). The institution elects Fellow candidates based on an individual’s contributions to the industry, as well as their various career achievements.

David H. Sweeney has joined Akin Gump as a partner at its Houston-based energy practice, where he will counsel clients on a range of U.S. domestic and international oil and gas infrastructure, as well as financial transactions. He comes to the firm from K&L Gates, where he also was a partner. Sweeney has advised on energy-related M&A deals for the past 11 years.

Jonathan Wolf has joined Investec Investment Banking as a director on its oil and gas team. He has more than 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the company, Wolf worked at Scotiabank, on the oil and gas team, for 12 years. He focused on originating, negotiating and executing upstream acquisition and disposal mandates. Additionally, he formerly served as a senior consultant for national oil companies, investment banks and governmental agencies, at Gaffney Cline & Associates.

Carl Hughes has been named as a non-executive director on the board of EnQuest. Hughes will join the company’s remuneration and risk committees, and succeed Dr. Philip Nolan as chairman of the audit committee. With more than 30 years of experience, Hughes retired as vice chairman and senior audit partner at Deloitte in 2015. Additionally, EnQuest has promoted Neil McCulloch to CFO. He previously served as president, North Sea. In addition to his new role, McCulloch will join the company’s board as an executive director.
