Weatherford International has appointed Mark McCollum as president and CEO, as well as a member of the company’s board of directors.

Weatherford International has appointed Mark McCollum as president and CEO, as well as a member of the company’s board of directors. With more than 36 years in the energy sector, McCollum most recently served as executive V.P. and CFO at Halliburton Co. Prior to that, he held a number of senior management positions at Tenneco, Inc., including CFO. In addition to McCollum’s appointment, Weatherford has named William Macaulay as chairman of the board of directors.

Bruce Burrows has been appointed CFO at Lekoil. He will join the company’s board of directors, as well. Prior to his appointment, Burrows served as CFO at Seven Energy, in southeastern Nigeria. There, he was an integral part of the company’s strategic initiatives, as well as its finance and performance functionalities. Prior to Seven Energy, he acted as finance director at JKX Oil & Gas for 14 years.

Troy Carson has been named CFO at Hoover Ferguson Group. Based in Houston, Carson will plan, implement, manage and control all of the company’s financial transactions. In addition, he will govern accounting, finance, strategic planning, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, private and institutional financing, as well as investor relationships and partnership compliance. Carson joins the company from Hercules Offshore, where he acted as senior V.P. and CFO.

Following the retirement of Peter Dolan—who previously served as non-executive chairman—Ikon Science has named Mark Bashforth as CEO and board member. The company’s former CEO and company founder, Martyn Millwood Hargrave, will take on the role of executive chairman. Bashforth brings extensive management experience to his new position, as he was previously employed by companies including FEI Company, CGG Geoscience and Roxar Software Solutions.

Wood Group has hired Alan Johnstone as president of its Asset Life Cycle Solutions business in Europe. Johnstone joins the company from Amec Foster Wheeler, where he served as managing director for upstream asset solutions. He brings more than 30 years of offshore experience to his new position. A longtime member of Step Change in Safety’s leadership group and former co-chair of the organization’s asset integrity steering group, Johnstone served as chairman of the Offshore Contractors’ Association for three years.

Suncor has announced the retirement of James W. Simpson, chair of the company’s board of directors. His retirement will take effect at the conclusion of Suncor’s annual general meeting on April 27, 2017, when Michael Wilson, a current member of the board and its governance and human resources and compensation committees, will become chair. Simpson joined Suncor’s board of directors in 2009.

CORTEC has named Scott Gooding as director of international business development. He joins the company from NOV, where he acted as V.P. of business and product development. With more than 30 years of business development experience, Gooding will work to diversify the company’s global sales.

Okra Energy has hired Donald Gongaware as chief process and innovation officer. An expert in liquefaction technology, Gongaware brings more than 25 years of design, fabrication, installation and operations experience to his new position.

Tan Ek Kia has been appointed as non-executive chairman of KrisEnergy’s board of directors. He succeeds Will Honeybourne, who has announced his retirement. Tan has been with the company since 2013, and brings more than 40 years of industry experience to the role. Previously, Tan served as managing director of Shell Malaysia E&P and chairman of Shell Companies in northeast Asia.

Robert Muraro has been appointed executive V.P. – commercial of Targa Resources Corp., by the company’s board of directors. Muraro joined Targa in August 2004 as a director of business development and has since served in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as senior V.P. of commercial and business development. Muraro was previously with ABN Amro.

David Mair has joined Ashtead Technology as business development director. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to his new role. Most recently, he served as global business development director at Hoover Ferguson Group. Prior to that, he held a number of senior management positions, including group V.P. of business development, at Subsea 7. Based in Aberdeen, Mair will work to broaden the firm’s scope of services.

DNV GL has named Peter Boyle as Aberdeen operations manager. A chemical engineer specializing in safety engineering, Boyle has been an employee of DNV GL for 22 years. In addition to Boyle’s appointment, the company has named John Morgan as UK business development leader for risk advisory services. As a senior principal consultant, Morgan, too, brings 22 years of technical experience to his newest role. According to DNV GL, both appointments are part of the company’s efforts to further develop its consultancy services, addressing key industry challenges, such as safety, efficiency and performance.

TAM International has announced that L. Bentley Sanford has moved into the position of chairman of the board and has appointed Michael Machowski as the new president of the company. Sanford joined TAM in 1982, and has more than 35 years of business and management experience within the oilfield services industry.

Global Maritime Consultancy & Engineering has appointed a new regional manager for the Americas. Espen Thomassen joined the company in 2012, as a marine advisor. In his new role, he will work to expand business and lead involvement in providing Sub Chapter M compliance services to inland waterway towing vessels throughout the U.S.

Christopher Jarvis has been appointed as executive V.P. of finance and V.P. of risk management for Foothills Petroleum Inc. Jarvis brings more than 20 years of experience in capital markets and investments to his new role. Additionally, Kevin Sylla has been named director and CEO of Foothills Petroleum. Sylla will continue to serve as managing director of Tiger Energy Operating and Tiger Energy Partners International. He also serves as managing member of Wilshire Energy Partners, a principal shareholder of the company.

Ecosse Subsea Systems (ESS) has appointed Iain Middleton to the newly created role of commercial manager. The company said the move would allow Commerical Director Keith McDermott to pursue new business opportunities for Ecosse in the Asian and U.S. renewables and oil and gas sectors. In Middleton’s 30-year oil and gas career, he has been responsible for the commercial strategy, planning and execution of onshore and offshore brownfield, decommissioning and greenfield projects.
