Denbury Resources has selected John P. Dielwart to serve as chairman of the board. He will succeed Wieland F. Wettstein, a founding stockholder of the company, who served as chairman of the board since 2008, and a board member since the company’s inception in 1990. Dielwart is a founder and former CEO of ARC Resources, and has been a Denbury board member since 2013. After retirement, Dielwart continued to serve as vice chairman of ARC Financial Corp., an energy-focused private equity manager.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) has appointed Abdul Munim Saif Al-Kindy to head of E&P. Al-Kindy was previously head of Abu Dhabi Co. for Onshore Petroleum Operations, a unit of Adnoc. There, he led the JV that pumps most of Abu Dhabi’s oil from its main onshore fields. In his new role, Al-Kindy will oversee offshore deposits and efforts to increase natural gas output. Additionally, Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri was appointed head of marketing and refining. The moves were made by Adnoc’s director general, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.

AccessESP has named John Algeroy as the Europe and Africa regional manager. Based in Houston, he will be responsible for marketing, sales and operations for clients throughout these regions. He has 32 years of domestic and international oilfield experience, and has served in a number of operational and managerial positions, primarily in the completions sector.

Bibby Marine Services has appointed Stephen Bolton to operations director. Bolton is a chartered mechanical engineer, and was involved in the construction of the UK’s first offshore wind farm, North Hoyle. Additionally, Bibby Offshore Holdings has appointed Archie Kennedy to the board as a non-executive director. Kennedy served previously on the company’s board in 2011–2012. He is a chartered engineer with more than 35 years of industry experience with companies, including Nexen Petroleum and ConocoPhillips UK Ltd.

William J. Boyle has been named senior V.P. of asset integrity for Oceaneering International. Boyle will be responsible for the company’s asset integrity business worldwide, providing management, corrosion management, inspection and non-destructive testing services to customers. Boyle most recently served as CEO of Underwater Integrity Solutions. Additionally, Boyle’s predecessor, Michael C. Leys, will become the company’s V.P. of operations. In his new role, Leys will assist Boyle and facilitate a smooth succession until his retirement later this year.

CONSOL Energy Inc. has announced the retirement of James C. Grech, executive V.P. and CCO. The company has continued with its corporate reorganization efforts, to further align the administrative and commercial functions within its natural gas E&P division, and its thermal coal division. As a result, no successor will be appointed.

Aquatic Engineering & Construction has expanded its Houston-based team with the appointment of Bob Terrell to regional manager, and Andrew Blaquiere to proposals and project engineer. Both Terrell and Blaquiere will focus on growing Aquatic’s business in the Americas. Terrell joins Aquatic with more than 30 years of industry experience, including a considerable focus on subsea operations. Blaquiere has eight years of offshore experience, and has secured numerous projects in the Gulf of Mexico.

Dr. Mario Ruscev is joining Weatherford International as a senior operating executive. He has more than 25 years of operational experience in oilfield service and technology, most recently having served as V.P. and CTO of Baker Hughes since 2012. Ruscev previously served as CEO of Geotech Seismic Services, and CEO of FormFactor Inc., as well. Additionally, he has held various management positions at Schlumberger.

Hoover Container Solutions, a subsidiary of Hoover Group Inc., has appointed Scott Meints to V.P. of service operations. In his new position, Meints will work to grow the company’s service-related offerings in the global market, in addition to driving product development and innovation. Additionally, Adolfo Aguilera is joining the executive team as V.P. of manufacturing. With more than 18 years of manufacturing experience, Aguilera most recently served as director of manufacturing at TAS Energy Inc.

Conductor Installation Services (CIS) has promoted James Chadd to managing director. He will oversee the fulfillment of all strategic initiatives and drive global business. Prior to his promotion, Chadd served as group technical sales manager. Prior to joining CIS, Chadd worked for BJ Tubular Services as a conductor installation engineer in the field, both onshore and offshore.

Oil & Gas UK has appointed a number of member company representatives, as well as a new team of officers, to lead its board. Effective immediately, Neil McCulloch, president, North Sea, at EnQuest, and Terry Savage, corporate relationship director at Global Energy Group, will take over as co-chairmen of the board. They represent the operator and contractor communities, respectively. Other appointments to the board include Mark Thomas, regional president of BP North Sea; Walter Thain, managing director at Petrofac Engineering & Production Services; and Morten Kelstrup, V.P., managing director of Maersk Oil UK.

Mischa Tchang has joined SAL Singapore as managing director. With more than 15 years of experience in heavy lift shipping, he will strengthen and expand the Singapore office—which includes maintaining and expanding key client relationships, while also developing new business opportunities. Previously, Tchang served as regional commercial manager at Jumbo Shipping.

Dave Wallis, director for the Eastern Hemisphere at OFS Portal, will retire after more than 15 years with the company. CEO Chris Welsh will take over Wallis’ duties. Wallis began his 46-year career as an offshore geologist working around the world, before migrating to a wide range of management roles. Before OFS’s inception, Wallis was part of the multi-company team tasked with creating the firm’s original foundation. He served on the board from launch until April 2013.

Robert Nipper, CEO of NCS Multistage, has been named executive chairman of the board. He is succeeded as CEO by Marty Stromquist, who served as COO before being named CTO in 2015. Nipper and Stromquist were co-founders of the company. In his new role, Nipper will develop long-term strategy, including evaluating potential transactions that will broaden the company’s business base. Stromquist will take over day-to-day executive responsibilities, and will continue serving on the company’s board of directors.

Daniel Yergin, vice chairman of IHS Inc., has been named the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business. He will deliver the keynote address during the school’s commencement ceremony on June 11. As vice chairman, Yergin oversees energy research across conventional and renewable sources, and has responsibility for the overall agenda for energy and its interaction with geopolitics and economics.
