Imtech Marine has appointed Gennaro Pipoli to the position of managing director of Imtech Marine Singapore. Pipoli has built up an extensive track record and experience at GE, in several senior management positions, among others in Italy, Russia and Singapore. The two most recent positions were growth and strategy leader, and commercial operations director for the Asia Pacific and Middle East region, both in GE’s Oil & Gas division. 


Xodus Group has appointed Mark Hutchinson to the new position of head of advanced engineering to promote technical engineering excellence on global energy projects. Hutchinson brings a wealth of experience, particularly in renewable energy projects. Chartered in mechanical engineering, naval architecture and professional management, he joins Xodus from global engineering consultancy Fichtner where he was Head of Wind Energy, managing design teams for offshore and onshore wind projects


Datum360 has appointed Phil Christmas as the new sales and business development director, to spearhead its worldwide expansion drive. Christmas will be responsible for implementing the substantial worldwide growth plans for the business. He is an experienced sales professional, with a proven 30-year track record of achieving strategic account sales quotas, as well as managing successful sales and professional services teams within Europe and the Middle East.


J.C. Ridens has been named president and CEO of Great Western Oil and Gas Company. Previously, while at Forest Oil Corp., Ridens managed all operational aspects for four business units with production totaling 500 MMcfd and annual capital budgets ranging from $570 million to $1.4 billion. Before being named to that position in 2007, Ridens served as a senior V.P. for Forest in several regions.


Oceaneering International, Inc. announced that Mark E. Peterson has joined Oceaneering as V.P., Corporate Development.  Peterson’s career spans 35 years in the energy industry, and since 2005 with McDermott International, Inc., where he was most recently responsible for  corporate development efforts.


Environmental Drilling Solutions, (EDS), has named Jason Knowles area operations manager – Wyoming. Knowles rejoins EDS from Performance Fluids Management, where he served as a field supervisor. He was previously employed with EDS as Mid-Continent operations manager, where he directed field sales and special projects.


Knight Oil Tools has promoted Chris Rosson to global business manager, and Greg Zaunbrecher has been promoted to assistant global business manager. In his new position, Rosson will be responsible for insuring that the proper business infrastructure and operational procedures related to SAP and the company’s Rental Tool Management System are in place at Knight Oil Tools’ locations worldwide. Zaunbrecher will report to Rosson, and aid in development and implementation of all employee training related to RTMS and SAP procedures.


Devin International, a subsidiary of Greene’s Energy Group, has named Harold Touchet as operations manager. Based in Lafayette, La., Touchet’s responsibilities will include supervision of facility managers, procurement, and profit and loss activities; the oversight of quality management and process improvement activities; and identifying new products for the Devin product line. Additionally he will oversee product safety programs. Touchet joins Devin from Weatherford International, where he spent 35 years.


UniversalPegasus International (UPI) has named Philip Luna as CEO. Interim CEO Bob Deason will remain as executive chairman of the board. Luna has more than 30 years of engineering and construction management experience, with a substantial portion of his career spent in the hydrocarbon transmission and production industries. He joins UPI from Jacobs Engineering, where he held various positions, including V.P. of business development, V.P. of projects and V.P. of operations in Baton Rouge, La.


Denver’s Forest Oil Corp. has appointed Patrick R. McDonald to serve as interim CEO. McDonald succeeds H. Craig Clark, who was appointed president and CEO of Forest in July 2003. McDonald has been a Forest director since 2004. He has served as CEO and president of Carbon Natural Gas Co., an oil and gas exploration company, since April 2003 and will continue to serve in that capacity.


Murphy Oil Corp. has appointed Steve Cosse as president and CEO. David Wood, the company’s current president, CEO and member of the board, will retire after a 17-year career at the company and resign from his director position. Murphy also named Roger Jenkins, the company’s executive V.P. of exploration and production, to the newly created position of COO. Cosse, a current member of Murphy’s board, previously served as executive V.P. and general counsel of the company. During his tenure at Murphy, Cosse also held positions as senior V.P., and V.P. and principal financial officer. Jenkins joined Murphy in 2001 and was named executive V.P. of exploration and production in 2009.


Wyoming Governor Matt Mead has appointed Bob King as interim Wyoming oil and gas supervisor. King previously served in the position as interim supervisor in 2008 and 2009 for the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which regulates oil and natural gas operations in the state. He has worked in the state’s oil and gas industry for the last 30 years.


Scotland-based Swagelining Limited, has appointed Chris Mann as operations director. Mann was previously at BP West Africa, where he worked initially as an onshore construction manager and, more recently, as an offshore construction manager.


Masood Siddiqui has assumed charge of Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC), replacing Basharat A Mirza. Siddiqui, who was appointed OGDC managing director and CEO by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, has more than 25 years in exploration and production of hydrocarbon resources in Pakistan.


Renaissance Services has named René Kofod-Olsen as CEO for Topaz Energy & Marine. Kofod-Olsen’s career spans 18 years in the marine industry with the A.P. Møller-Maersk Group (APMM), including a period as chief people officer of SVITZER, responsible for the global HR function. He is currently CEO of SVITZER Asia, Middle East & Africa, responsible for a fleet of 130 vessels operating in 17 countries.


InterAct Activity Management Ltd, an Acteon company, has hired Dave Barclay, Allen Scoging and Juliann Canty. Barclay joins InterAct from BP, where he was a well abandonment engineer involved with the subsea abandonment of wells on the UK Continental Shelf. Scoging has joined InterAct from Schlumberger. Canty joins InterAct from Proserv, where she was a project engineer involved with subsea and marine technology.


Geokinetics has appointed David J. Crowley to the position of president and COO. Spending his first 20 years in the energy service industry with Schlumberger, Crowley held international assignments in key positions for operations, engineering and marketing. He then applied his international business expertise and accountability-centered leadership principles to assist U.S.-based companies’ intent on growing their geographic footprint overseas. Most recently, Crowley held the position of president and CEO at Enventure Global Technology.
