IMV Projects, a Wood Group company, has appointed Kevin O’Brien as President. He has more than 15 years of experience in Alberta’s oil and gas sector, serving previously as COO. Ivan Velev, founding President of IMV, will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board.

Bentec GmbH, a manufacturer of drilling rig systems and components and part of the KCA Deutag Group, appointed Dirk Schulze as CEO. Schulze has been a management consultant, and has several years of industry experience.

Craig L. White joined Union Drilling Inc. as VP of Safety and Training. He served seven years as a Senior Consultant and Key Account Manager at Moody International (formerly Enterprise Development Network).

Swire Oilfield Services named Steve Hardwick President for North America. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry, most with Tetra Technologies, an oil and gas service company based in Houston. At Tetra, Hardwick served most recently as VP and General Manager of the US Gulf of Mexico.

DePugh receives BMA award

Don DePugh, World Oil advertising salesman, was the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Houston chapter of the Business Marketing Association. The award was presented to DePugh during this year’s annual BMA Lantern Awards Ceremony. This is one of the most prestigious awards the BMA presents each year. Don DePugh has worked for Gulf Publishing Company for 53 years in various editorial, sales and management capacities. He earned a degree in English from the University of St. Thomas, and began working at Gulf Publishing shortly thereafter, in December 1957. He worked as a Technical Editor with Pipe Line Industry (which later became Pipe Line & Gas Industry) for 10 years before transferring to advertising sales, where he has remained since.
