Engineering, project management and construction management firm UniversalPegasus International named Gary Hymel as the Onshore Director of Business Development. Hymel has  15 years of experience in the engineering services sector of the commercial construction industry.

Oil and gas executive search consultancy Park Brown International has appointed Stephen Sheal as the company’s new Director. Sheal has 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector and specific expertise in supporting upstream clients in their search for executive leadership talent.

Electro-Flow Controls (EFC) Group, an Aberdeen-based designer and manufacturer of instrumentation, monitoring, handling and control systems for the oil and gas industry, has appointed Jacqui Maiden as Financial Controller and Louise McGowan as Sales and Marketing Manager. Maiden was previously Accounts and Audit Manager for Simpson Forsyth. McGowan has over 12 years of industry experience, most recently with General Electric Oil & Gas.

Paradigm appointed James Lamb as Executive VP of Sales Operations. Since joining Paradigm in 2004, Lamb has held various positions, including Regional VP of Canada, Corporate VP of Business Development and Regional VP of the US. Most recently, he was Executive VP of the Americas. Lamb is a geoscientist with over 18 years of experience.

Denver, Colorado-based independent oil and gas company Delta Petroleum Corp. announced that Carl Lakey has been named CEO. He most recently served as Senior VP of Operations for Delta and has been with the company since 2007. Prior to joining the company, Lakey spent six years managing operations at El Paso Production Co. and 16 years in various operational and technical positions at ExxonMobil.

ODL, a subsidiary of Wood Group, has appointed Bill Cochrane as Managing Director. He has 30 years of industry experience, including 15 years with Wood Group. Mark Docherty has joined the company as COO. With 25 years of experience in oilfield and energy consulting, he was most recently VP of Germanischer Lloyd.

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has named David Cobb VP of Business Development. He has more than 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and 11 years at InterMoor. Cobb previously served as Business Development Manager as well as Projects Manager for InterMoor’s Aberdeen office.

Dean Freeman has joined the Hoover Materials Handling Group and will be in charge of Business Development in the Latin American region, which includes Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela. He has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with four years in business development in the Brazilian market.

NACE International, the corrosion society, named Robert H. Chalker as its new Executive Director. He has served as Managing Director and CEO of ASQ Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Society for Quality, for the past year and a half. Previous to that position, Chalker served as Director of Global Development and Strategic Planning at SAE International.

US Silica Company appointed Frank Syfan as Technical Director, Oil and Gas, to oversee the company’s sand-based proppants business. Syfan has more than 30 years of experience in reservoir engineering, drilling operations and completion technology, as well as unconventional shale reservoir expertise working in the Barnett, Marcellus, Fayetteville and other shale formations. Previously, Syfan was the Principal Reservoir and Completions Engineer for Statoil in Houston.

HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, named Troy Roussel VP of its US Land Division. Roussel has held various management roles in operations, HSE and business development. Most recently, he was Business Development Director for an international remote-site management company.

General Cable Corp. has appointed Emmanuel Sabonnadiere as CEO and President of the Europe and Mediterranean region, and Executive VP of the company. Sabonnadiere will succeed Domingo Goenaga, who remains as an Executive VP and Vice Chairman of General Cable’s European holding company.

Apache Corp. announced that David Carmony has been promoted to VP of Environmental, Health and Safety. Carmony has been the Gulf Coast region’s VP of Drilling, Production and Construction Engineering since 2006. He joined Apache in 1993 as Production Engineer for the Southern region.

Kristian Johansen was appointed CFO of TGS-Nopec Geophysical Co. ASA. Previously, he was the Executive VP and CFO of EDB Business Partner in Oslo, Norway, one of the largest IT groups in the Nordic region.

Red Spider Technology appointed John O’Hara as Sales Manager for North America. He has over 12 years of experience in the deepwater oil and gas industry, particularly in downhole intelligent completion products.
