Industrial technology specialist Tracerco, part of the Johnson Matthey Group, has appointed Vince Croud as Technical Director. He will oversee the company’s R&D activities at its Tracer Technology Centre in Billingham, England. Croud has published 27 scientific papers and secured 21 patents for his own inventions. Key Energy Services Inc. announced that Kimberly R. Frye has been promoted to Senior VP and General Counsel. Frye joined the company in October 2002 and has served as its Associate General Counsel. Enventure Global Technology announced the appointment of Greg Bailey as VP of Engineering and Technology. With more than 20 years of engineering experience, he will lead the company’s engineering and R&D divisions. Prior to joining Enventure, Bailey worked for Grant Prideco, where he served as VP of Engineering in the tubular technical division.

Tim Sheehan has joined the Ferguson Group as CEO of its Ferguson Modular Ltd. division. The Ferguson Group is a supplier and manufacturer of accommodation modules and containers for the worldwide energy industry. Sheehan joins the company from Acergy, where he was the Managing Director of Acergy UK Ltd. and deputy VP in the Northern Europe and Canada Region.

Scott W. Tinker, director of the University of Texas at Austin’s Bureau of Economic Geology and Texas state geologist, has assumed the presidency of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). Tinker also holds the Allday Endowed Chair in the Jackson School of Geosciences at UT-Austin. He has been a Distinguished Lecturer and Distinguished Ethics Lecturer for the AAPG.

T H Hill Associates Inc. has named Shawn P. Altizer CEO and Vice Chairman. Altizer joined the company in 2001 and served as VP of Marketing and Business Development. He succeeds Tom H. Hill, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board.

A specialist in composites technology for repair and strengthening of industrial assets, Dr. Paul Hill has joined the engineering and technical services company Furmanite. He will lead the company’s composite repair service as Global Business Development Manager. Hill was previously Technical Manager for the alliance between Furmanite and Devonport Management Ltd. Composites.

Foster Marketing Communications has named Gary Meeks as Controller and Kristy Bonner as Account Associate. Meeks, a CPA, comes to Foster from Superior Offshore International Inc., where he was General Ledger Accounting Manager. Bonner was previously the Senior Editor of Custom Content for the Lafayette Daily Advertiser.

Aberdeen-based Walker Technical Services (WTR) has appointed Simon Frost as Technical Director. He spent 16 years at Shell as Principal Mechanical/Materials and Corrosion Engineer. Frost is Chairman of the UK Composite Working Group, a founding member of the ASME Technical Committee on Composite Repairs and author of the ISO and ASME standards. WTR also appointed Jacco Huipen, formerly Proposals Manager and Project Manager for Halliburton Pipeline and Process Services, as the new Head of Marketing and Sales.

Sensornet announced two senior appointments and a promotion. John Perrin has joined the company as VP for North and South America, while Doug Walker has taken a similar position with the company’s Asia-Pacific region. Richard Kluth was promoted to COO from his previous position as Operations Director. Perrin has more than 10 years of industry experience specializing in wireline oilwell logging. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Walker has held senior management positions in Abu Dhabi, Norway, the Gulf of Mexico and Vietnam. Kluth has experience in drilling and reservoir monitoring in North America, the Middle East and Europe.

Earth Search Sciences Inc. has appointed Luis F. Lugo as the company’s CEO. He previously served as Director of Finance and Strategy for 3AG Distribution (Elf Aquitaine Oil Lubricants Venezuela). Larry Vance, formerly chairman and CEO of Earth Search Sciences, will continue as Chairman of the Board.

Jonquil Hill has joined Mogas Industries Inc. as its director of product engineering. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Hill has worked for the past five years with TapcoEnpro International in Houston.

Paradigm announced the appointment of Gary V. Morris as CFO. Morris has over 30 years of experience in global finance, most recently as a partner in Herodotus Energy, LLC, a consulting company. Before that, he served a long tenure at Halliburton, culminating as EVP and CFO. Paradigm also appointed Richard H. Ward as Regional VP, China. He has over 35 years of global business development experience in the energy industry.

SulphCo Inc. appointed Dr. Florian J. Schattenmann to the position of CTO. Prior to joining the company, Schattenmann was Technology Director at GE-Bayer Silicones, a joint venture of GE Advanced Materials and Bayer based in Leverkusen, Germany.
