Enventure Global Technology has appointed two executive positions within the company’s leadership team. Joseph Waiter has been named VP, General Counsel and Secretary. Kevin Knight takes on the role of VP and CFO. Waiter has over 25 years of legal experience with private-equity and publicly-held companies. Knight’s career spans over 20 years of financial and accounting experience in the oil and gas and other businesses.

Reservoir services company Geotrace has announced that Scott Humphrey has joined the company as Manager, Latin America Marketing. He has more than 20 years of experience in the seismic industry, and has held management positions with GX Technology, Landmark Graphics and Digicon Geophysical.

Paradigm has appointed Jorge Machnizh as President and COO, succeeding John W. Gibson, Jr., who remains as CEO. Machnizh has over 27 years of experience in the energy industry. Before joining Paradigm, he served as President and COO of Input/Output’s Imaging Systems Group.

Ciro Davila has been named Head of Operations for Petrolog, Ltd., a Lagos, Nigeria-based drilling, fabrication and engineering services company.

Eswar Yarrapareddy has joined Laser Cladding Services as the company’s laser cladding Development Engineer. Yarrapareddy has over six years of industrial and research experience in laser materials processing, metallurgy and materials science, and has developed nano-based surface coatings resistant to slurry erosion by laser cladding. He has published numerous technical papers, and also serves as a technical reviewer for the Journal of Surfaces and Coatings Technology.

Five lawyers have been added to Fulbright & Jaworski LLP’s offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. Legal Consultant Yuping He joins Fulbright’s Beijing office from a large national oil company in China, and Associate Joanne Du comes to Fulbright from another major international law firm. Legal Consultant Lori Ji has relocated to Beijing from Fulbright’s Hong Kong office. Additionally, Partner Steve Vogel has relocated to Hong Kong from the firm’s London office, Senior Associate Ben Smith joined the firm in Hong Kong from a major international firm in London, and Counsel Alexandra “Sasha” Freeman has also joined from an international firm.

Hydratight has appointed Andrew Silver as its new Global Finance Director. He was previously European Finance Director at Rohm and Haas.

Dr. Amos Nur has accepted a position as Chief Technology Officer at Ingrain, a Houston-based company he co-founded in 2007. Nur and colleagues, including Dr. Jack Dvorkin and Dr. William Bosl, developed techniques to analyze reservoir rocks and drill cutting fragments after they have been scanned with imaging technology, delivering extremely comprehensive reservoir-rock property measurements. Nur was most recently director of Stanford University’s Rock Physics and Borehole Geophysics Project. Dvorkin is a senior research scientist in rock physics at Stanford, while Bosl recently left his position at Stanford to join the faculty of Harvard Medical School. Both will continue to work with Ingrain in an advisory role.

IDM Group has named Carlos Kenda as COO for IDM International in Stryi, Ukraine. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas contract drilling and capital equipment sectors in numerous roles.

Well Control School announced that Dawn Brown was named the new web-based System 21 e-Learning Training Manager. She will manage all aspects of the company’s IADC-certified training program. Additionally, she will oversee the IADC, API and IWCF regulatory compliance requirements, along with administration of IWCF classes and testing.

Swellfix has appointed Mario Gibson as new General Manager for Brazil. He has over 32 years of experience in the petroleum industry, mainly in Latin America. Most recently, Gibson worked as a consultant in contract negotiations and project management for various independent operators.

Ambar Lone Star Fluid Services announced that Richard Beason has been promoted to Regional Manager for South and East Texas. He previously served as Regional Technical Supervisor for South and East Texas.

Chevron Corp. has named Joe W. Laymon Corporate VP of Human Resources. Previously, he was Group VP of Corporate Human Resources and Labor Affairs at Ford Motor Co. He succeeds Alan R. Preston, who is retiring after 35 years with the company.

Marathon Oil Corp. announced organizational changes among its senior management. Steven B. Hinchman, currently Senior VP of Worldwide Production, was named Executive VP of Technology and Services; David E. Roberts, Jr., Senior VP of Business Development, was named Executive VP, Upstream; R. Douglas Rogers, currently Organizational VP of Environment, Safety and Emergency Response, has been named VP of Health, Environment and Safety; and Daniel J. Sullenbarger, VP of Corporate Responsibility, was named VP of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.

Superior Energy Services Inc. announced that William B. Masters has been named Executive VP and General Counsel. He has had a 26-year career with the law firm of Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre LLP, where he worked with Superior as general counsel for 13 years.
