Sondex Oilfield Technology has named Goran Kolaric as Business Development Manager for the Europe and Africa regions. Prior to joining Sondex, Kolaric served with PathFinder Energy Services and Schlumberger.

New Industries has named Greg Risher as head of its Human Resource, Risk Management and HS&E Department. For the past three years, he served as Director of Risk Management for the Orleans Parish School System. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas fabrication industry.

Lufkin Industries Inc. has elected John F. “Jay” Glick, President, to the CEO position. He succeeds Douglas V. Smith, who will retain his position as Chairman of the Board following his retirement from the company. Prior to serving as President, Glick was VP and General Manager of the Power Transmission Division and the Oilfield Division.

Petris appointed John Archer as Product Manager for PetrisWINDS Enterprise. Archer previously worked for BEA as a Senior Account Systems Engineer, where he developed and supported mission-critical applications in various industries such as energy, legal, healthcare, manufacturing and high tech.

Coty Laliberte, an engineer for Tri Drill Services, a Knight Company, has obtained an ASNT NDT Level III certification for Magnetic Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT). Laliberte began his career with Tri Drill at age 16 as a certified Level II inspector in MT, PT and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).

Oslo, Norway-based Aker Kvaerner’s Subsea business area has appointed Dave Hutchinson as Senior VP for Aftermarket Operations. Hutchinson has more than 20 years of experience in drilling, offshore operations, oilfield services, fabrication, manufacturing and management. Previously he was VP for Surface Products & Services, a business unit of Aker Kvaerner Subsea.

Tetra Technologies, Inc. has appointed Philip N. Longorio to the position of Senior VP, responsible for managing the company’s global fluids and production testing businesses. He has had a 28-year career with Halliburton Energy Services and its subsidiaries. Most recently, he was President and CEO of WellDynamics B.V.

Dr. Herman Franssen has joined Facts Global Energy (FGE) as a Distinguished Associate and Representative in Washington D.C., providing energy policy analysis and advice on US energy policy issues. FGE, headquartered in Singapore, is a provider of oil and gas analysis with a focus on Asia, the Middle East and the Atlantic Basin. Since 1996, Franssen has worked as an energy consultant in the Washington D.C., area. He serves on the advisory boards of several energy companies and on the boards of energy publications in the US, Europe and Canada.

Forest Oil Corp. named James D. Lightner as non-executive Chairman of the Board. He will succeed Forrest E. Hoglund, who retires in May of 2008. Lightner is a partner and the CEO of Orion Energy Partners, and also serves as a director of W-H Energy Services Inc., an oilfield services company, and Cornerstone E&P Company LP.

InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company, promoted Joao Carlos Ruiz de Oliveira as Engineering Manager for InterMoor do Brasil. Ruiz had been the Senior Engineer, Special Projects. Based in Rio de Janeiro, he will oversee project execution as well as engineering and administrative activities. Prior to joining InterMoor in 2007, Ruiz worked as a subsea engineer for Petrobras.

Global Resource Corp., a developer of microwave technology and machinery for extracting oil and gas, announced that Jeffrey T. Kimberly has joined the company as COO. He was formerly president of Ingersoll Production Systems, a subsidiary of Dalian Machine Tool Group of Dalian, China.

Air Liquide has named Michael J. Graff as chairman of the board. Graff adds the chairmanship of Air Liquide Group’s Canadian subsidiary to his role as President and CEO of Air Liquide USA LLC and as a director of its US subsidiary businesses. He has 30 years of experience as a senior executive in the energy, chemicals and polymers industries. Luc Doyon, currently President and COO of Air Liquide Canada, was named the Montreal-based subsidiary’s CEO.

Desiree Reyes has been named Marketing Director at Foster Marketing Communications. Based in the company’s Houston office, she will be responsible for business development, brand integrity and event planning.

Williams announced that Robyn Ewing will become the company’s Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for human resources, information technology and other enterprise support functions. Ewing, previously VP of human resources, succeeds Michael Johnson, who is retiring.

Rig Builders International LLC has promoted Chris Keilberg to Sales Manager. Keilberg is a TAEP member with over 22 years of oil and gas experience, and served most recently as an RBI representative in the Fort Worth Basin/ Barnett Shale region.

Drilling systems designer IDM Group has named Byron Dunn as CEO. He has broad experience in the global energy sector, most recently as Senior VP at Harvest Natural Resources, where he served as Chairman of the company’s Russian and Chinese subsidiaries. Dunn will initially be based in Houston.
