Personnel changes and promotions in the petroleum industry

Jan Frieling has been appointed to the post of Libya Country Manager for BJ Services’ Well Services Division, within the Europe and Africa Region. Frieling has worked for the company over five years in a variety of roles, most recently as Country Manager for The Netherlands.

IAGC announced that former US Minerals Management Service Director Walt Rosenbusch has joined the association in Houston, Texas, as VP, Projects and Issues. He has over 25 years of public and private sector experience, and expertise in all aspects of federal and state oil and gas upstream regulatory activities.

Energen Corp. announced that James T. McManus II was elected the Chairman of the Board of the energy holding company and its two operating subsidiaries, Energen Resources Corp. and Alabama Gas Corp. He will succeed former CEO and President Wm. Michael Warren, Jr., who will will remain on the company’s board. McManus joined Energen in 1986, was elected President and COO in 2006, and has served as CEO of Energen and its subsidiaries since July 2007.

Denver-based Aspect Energy, LLC, appointed William J. Krysiak as CFO. He previously served as Executive VP and CFO of Western Gas Resources, Inc., from May 2002 until the sale of that company to Anadarko Petroleum in 2006.

Paradigm announced the addition of Eileen L. Howell to its executive management team as VP of Tax. With over 20 years of accounting experience in the energy industry, Howell joins the company from Schlumberger, where she was Oil Field Services US Tax Manager.

Indigo-Energy, Inc., announced the appointment of Steven P. Durdin as its new CEO and President. He has been an active investor and shareholder with the corporation since its inception in 2005, and in 2006 he led a small group to form Indigo Partners, L.P., raising the funds necessary to drill the first round of wells for the company.

Swagelok Co. appointed Matt LoPiccolo to VP and Chief Information Officer. LoPiccolo joined the company in 1985, and most recently served as Director, Customer Solutions.

Kathleen A. Hogenson has founded a new business, Bainbridge Resources, and serves as its President and CEO. Bainbridge Resources is the operating company of investment firm Bainbridge Oil & Gas. Hogenson served most recently as President at Santos USA Corp.

Sondex has named Derek W. Hood as Business Development Manager for Russia, responsible for developing and supporting business throughout the country for Sondex’s Wireline Division. He has over 28 years of industry experience, most recently as Middle East and North Africa Wireline Services Product Line Manager for Weatherford, based in Abu Dhabi.

Royal Dutch Shell appointed Willem Schulte to the position of Chief Scientist, Reservoir Engineering. He has over 28 years of experience as a reservoir engineer, and is currently Chairman of the EAGE’s Improved Oil Recovery committee. He also lectures in advanced reservoir engineering at Delft University in The Netherlands.

Chevron Corp. announced that John McDonald, currently VP of Strategic Planning, will become Chief Technology Officer, succeeding Donald Paul, who will retire from the company in 2008 after more than 32 years of service. Paul Siegele, currently VP of Deepwater Exploration/Projects, will replace McDonald.

Lexington Energy Services Inc. announced the appointment of Kelly Warrack as CFO and Principal Accounting Officer of the company. Warrack was previously Financial Controller of Impact Drilling Ltd, a Calgary-based oil and gas well drilling contractor, and has also served as VP, Finance, of Metalworks Canada.

Lonnie J. Lowry was named VP, CFO and Secretary for Panhandle Oil and Gas Inc. He previously held the titles of VP, Controller and Secretary. Michael C. Coffman, previously company CFO, was named as CEO. Lowry has been with Panhandle since 2001, when the company acquired Wood Oil Co., where he was Controller for 15 years.

Software and services company Object Reservoir, Inc., announced Jeff Johnson as VP of Integrated Reservoir Services. Johnson has 30 years of upstream E&P industry experience with both service companies and major operators. Most recently he was Global Services Director for Paradigm/Earth Decision.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. named John Colglazier as VP, Investor Relations and Communications. Colglazier has more than 25 years of experience with the company, most recently as Director of Investor Relations.

Enhanced Oil Resources Inc. appointed Barry Portman as Manager, Drilling and Well Operations. He has 10 years of experience in the oil industry with Marathon Oil and Kinder Morgan CO2, where he was most recently Drilling and Well Operations Manager.

IHS Inc. announced the promotions of Ron Mobed and Jeff Tarr to the newly created positions of Co-Presidents and Co-COOs. Mobed has been President and COO of the Energy segment of IHS since 2004. Previously he was an executive at Schlumberger for 22 years. Tarr has been President and COO of the Engineering segment of IHS since 2004. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of Hoover’s, a business information provider.
