Oilfield service company Expro International Group PLC appointed Jeff Skelly as president of Expro Americas Inc. He will be responsible for managing the group’s activities in North and South America from its region headquarters in Houston. With 25 years of oilfield experience in US and international markets, Skelly joins the company from Halliburton Energy Services, where he worked as regional general manager for the Middle East and Caspian regions.

CRC-Evans Automatic Welding appointed Rob Schriek as manager – Offshore, based in The Netherlands. A seasoned pipeline professional, Schriek worked more than 10 years on various pipeline construction projects in Australia before relocating to The Netherlands in 1990. He has worked as a technician and supervisor on construction of petrochemical plants, LNG liquefaction facilities and refineries.

Law firm Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. announced that Kip Plankinton has joined the firm’s Dallas office after being with the Houston office for two years. Plankinton is a member of Fulbright’s Energy Practice Group, which includes over 200 attorneys worldwide. Prior to joining the firm, Plankinton served as counsel to Exxon Mobil Corp.

Big Sky Energy Corp. announced the appointment of S. A. Sehsuvaroglu as its new president. He replaces Daming Yang, who will remain as a director. Sehsuvaroglu is a professional engineer with over 27 years of oil and gas experience, and is the newly elected vice chairman of the Kazakh Petroleum Society.

Alan Pillar was appointed well services manager for the UK in the Well Services Division – Europe & Africa Region of BJ Services. Previously, he served five years as well services manager in Great Yarmouth, responsible for operating the BJ Services’ Well Services base and all related issues associated with coiled tubing, stimulation and nitrogen services in the southern North Sea.

Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., appointed Scott Kallman as executive VP, Industrial Gas Group. He has over 20 years of experience in the industrial gas business with BOC Gases, including senior management positions in sales, field engineering, merchant bulk liquid production and on-site plants.

Houston Technology Center, the technology business incubator, announced that John Gibson, former president and CEO of Halliburton’s Energy Services Group, has joined HTC as special advisor for energy programs. The HTC Energy Program provides strategic and tactical management services to Houston-area emerging energy technology entrepreneurs. A team of seasoned executives works closely with the major energy companies, entrepreneurs and investors to foster business growth.

AlMansoori Specialized Engineering, Abu Dhabi, UAE, named Feycal Amari general manager, North Africa, based in Tripoli, Libya. Amari has over 30 years of industry experience in fluids engineering, cementing, stimulation, coiled tubing, and production testing, and has served in various capacities in Algeria, France, and the Arabian Gulf.

The British-American Business Council of Houston announced the members of its Board of Directors for 2005 – 2006. The new members are: Pasty Akers Rhymes, Snap 2, president; Tim Horner, Hanscomb Faithful & Gould, vice president; Becci Himes, executive director; Michael Benson, Apache Corp.; Derek Blackwood, Wood Group; Martin Burniston, ICONIXX; Charles Carpenter, Preng & Associates; Kevin Davidson, Maxwell Drummond; David Eyeton, BP; James Grove, Royal Bank of Scotland; James Prappas, Jackson Walker LLP; Dave Rees, CorrOcean; Kornel Rost, British Consulate-General; Consul General Judith Slater, British Consulate General; and Sally Stiles, British Airways.

David H. Barr has been appointed group president, Drilling and Evaluation, and Douglas J. Wall was appointed group president, Completions and Production, for Baker Hughes Inc. The new Drilling and Evaluation Group includes the Baker Atlas, Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids, Hughes Christensen and INTEQ divisions. Martin S. Craighead has been appointed president of Baker Atlas, and Paul S. Butero was named president of Hughes Christensen. The new Completions and Production Group consists of the Baker Oil Tools, Baker Petrolite and Centrilift divisions. Chris P. Beaver was appointed president of Baker Oil Tools.

The Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA) announced that the 2005 president is Donald W. Zee. He will lead the ISA Executive Board in overseeing the organization’s 60th year of operation. Zee is president of Don Zee Associates, a management consulting firm he founded in 1975.

Occidental Petroleum Corp. elected Casey Olson an executive VP. He also holds the position of president, Oxy Oil and Gas – Eastern Hemisphere, with responsibility for managing Occidental’s operations in the Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Pakistan.

Woodside Energy Ltd. appointed Ross Carroll, a finance executive with 18 years of experience in the resources industry, as its new CFO. He was previously VP of finance and planning at BHP Billiton Petroleum Americas.

The Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) announced its executive officers for 2005. NGSA chairman Joseph Blount and vice chairman Tim Bullock will continue to serve in their respective roles. Karl Kurz of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. was named secretary/treasurer.
