Heartland Oil and Gas Corp. appointed Philip S. Winner as COO. He will be primarily responsible for directing and advising the board on exploration, development and production of the company's Kansas CBM lands. Winner has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including the development CBM assets in the Piceance, Sand Wash and Green River Basins. Previously, he was VP of HS Resources. BJ Services appointed Brad Pellegrin area manager, North America, for BJ Tubular Services. Pellegrin will manage operations in North America, and be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and implementation of the division's processes. He has 16 years of experience in the oilfield service industry.

BJ Services appointed Brad Pellegrin area manager, North America, for BJ Tubular Services. Pellegrin will manage operations in North America, and be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and implementation of the division's processes. He has 16 years of experience in the oilfield service industry. 

Dr. Jorge Manrique has joined the Knowledge Reservoir Houston office as VP, Production Solutions. This division is responsible for reservoir optimization and production enhancement applications worldwide. Manrique started his career in petroleum engineering with Petroleos de Peru and Oxy in Peru. He held various positions with Schlumberger worldwide, where he became a senior advisor. Most recently, he was production manager for Yukos E&P, in the Russian Federation, implementing fracture stimulation and production enhancement in West Siberia. 

Ralph J. Pontillo joined NACE International as executive director. Ralph brings over 17 years of association experience to NACE. Previously, he was the president of the Manufacturer's Association of Northwest Pennsylvania. Also, he co-founded and directed the Manufacturers' Association Employer/ Employee Federal Credit Union. 

Halina Caravello was promoted to director of HS&E for Baker Hughes Inc., and appointed VP of HS&E for Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations. She has served as director of HS&E for the Petrolite division since 1991 and has made frequent presentations at international conferences. Caravello will also serve as chairperson for the Baker Hughes HS&E Council. 

Cudd Well Control, a division of Cudd Pressure Control, Inc., appointed Dan Eby manager of Engineering Services. He has over 25 years of oilfield experience in all aspects of drilling, completion, workover and well control projects on land and offshore. He has spent the past nine years working as the principal engineer on a variety of well control engineering projects in the Middle East, North Sea, Europe, Southeast Asia, India and Africa. 

EPI Consultants, a division of Cudd Pressure Control, Inc., announced that Les Skinner has been named VP and division manager. He has over 35 years of oilfield experience, with over 20 years as a drilling, completions and production engineer before becoming a well control engineer in 1990. Skinner was involved in well control in the Middle East and other regions the past 14 years. 

Santos Limited has appointed Martyn Eames to the newly created position of VP, Corporate and People. Before this new position, he served as VP, Strategy and Business Planning, for BP Angola. 

Grant Prideco, Inc., announced several internal management changes. Dan Latham assumes the new position of VP, Industry Relations and Account Development. He previously served as president of the Drilling Products and Services Division. David Black becomes president of Drilling Products and Services. He previously served as president of Tubular Technology and Services Division. Walt Czaus, the current senior VP of Manufacturing and Accessory Products at Tubular Technology and Services, will assume interim management of this division. 

Strata Control Services, Inc., appointed Richard L. Boyd general manager. Boyd has more than 32 years of drilling management experience, both domestically and internationally. Previously, he was with the drilling department of ExxonMobil for 23 years, participating in international projects in Russia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. 

Veritas DGC Inc. appointed Mark E. Baldwin executive VP, CFO and treasurer. Prior to his appointment, he was an operating partner in First Reserve Corp., a privately held oilfield services equity firm. From 2001 to 2002, he served as executive VP/CFO of NexitraOne, LLC, a privately held telecommunications company. 

Oil and gas company Vienco has appointed Clive Fowler as its chairman. Fowler, a non-executive director of the company, has a 32-year career within the oil and gas industry. He is currently the non-executive chairman of LOGIC, the industry-funded organization working with companies to stimulate collaboration and competitiveness to improve UK oil and gas sector performance. 

Fugro GEOS, Inc., a member of the Fugro group of companies, named Chris Riffe manager of its Measurement Division, based in Houston. He will manage the division's increased workload as a result of the forthcoming MMS Notice to Lessees regarding current monitoring and sharing of oceanographic data. Riffe's most recent post was senior oceanographer and southern region manager at Evans-Hamilton, Inc.
