Sightglass fittings

L.J. Star describes its line of stainless steel, weld-type, sightglass fittings in a brochure. These lightweight, low profile fittings have a smaller diameter than conventional fittings and present a lower profile above the weld. The literature includes a close-up photo and an exploded-view drawing to illustrate the components and design of the fittings. It also contains a dimensional drawing and a table of specs. The fittings are designed for low-pressure applications. The units’ operating pressure rating is 15 psig and temperature is 535°F. Sizes range from DN50 to DN200, with viewing diameters from 3.2 in. to 8.9 in.

Flow management tools

Fig 1A full-color brochure from Flowserve is available. It describes the firm’s technical and applications capabilities in petroleum flow management. Also highlighted are the advantages of the firm’s comprehensive line of pumps, which are designed for various production and pipeline services. The literature notes operating parameters of the various pumps, which are fully compliant with API 610 current edition standards.

Ball valves

R&M Energy Systems offers Hercules ball valves that are designed to ensure dependable, leak-free performance in a variety of applications. The valves are highlighted in a full-color, quick-reference brochure that provides photos of each patented valve series, information on materials of construction, product features, benefits and specs. The valves are manufactured to exacting standards and are available in a variety of compact body styles. The complete product line offers models rated for standard duty, as well as those engineered for special applications. Sizes range from 14 in. to 6 in. Their performance envelop covers temperatures from 200°F to 450°F and pressures from 400 psi to 5,000 psi.

Digital valve controller

Emerson Process Management is offering a 16-page, full-color brochure that describes its Fisher FIELDVUE digital valve controller. This digital tool replaces existing valve-mounted analog instruments such as valve positioners, transmitters, switches, and controllers. Mounting on rotary or sliding stem actuators is simplified through a comprehensive library of mounting kits for Fisher and Non-Fisher valves. Whether you need on/off control for fieldbus installations, improved valve testing tools for emergency shutdown systems, or special mounting adaptations for any type of actuator, the FIELDVUE digital valve controller is a single platform designed to meet all your needs.

Controls, gauges

Fig 2Dwyer Instruments has published its 2003 catalog describing its full line of controls and gauges. The easy-to-use literature is packed with more than 3,700 value-added products. It integrates useful reference materials, such as air velocity flow charts and gas conversion curves to help customers make appropriate application decisions. Prices are conveniently placed adjacent to photographs, descriptions or diagrams of each product model.

Pressure sensors

The 1830 Series are fully submersible sensors that incorporate the most recent advances in depth and level measurement. They feature a high stability pressure sensing element manufactured from micro-machined silicon. The silicon sensing element is fully isolated from the media by a titanium isolation diaphragm. The titanium enables the sensors to be used in the most hostile of fluids. Surface mount electronics within the all-titanium body tube assembly enables minimum sensor size with improved reliability. A comprehensive brochure is available from Druck.

Thermal mass flow probe

Thermal Instrument is offering a brochure on Model 62-9/62T-9/9500. This probe features integral or remote microprocessor electronics for temperature and flow measurement of liquids, slurries, gases and homogeneous solids. There are no apertures to clog and no moving parts. The standard material of construction is 316 SS, but a wide selection of other materials are available. The brochure includes a list of product specs and design features.

Signal conditioning

Acromag has published a 200-page catalog detailing its new Modbus analog and discrete I/O modules, as well as a broad range of transmitters, isolators, and alarms. The literature contains application notes and drawings that demonstrate how the firm’s newest products can be used to reduce costs, improve performance, and increase safety.

Ducting joints

Red Valve has published a brochure that highlights its complete line of rectangular, circular and custom ducting joints. The joints are available in a variety of elastomers to match any chemical or temperature requirement. They are ideal for various applications, including aeration and odor control.
