A handheld vibration meter indicates the severity of a vibration even if the vibration is not physically evident. This allows users to have an early warning of an impending problem. They can monitor a vibration induced by a mechanical fault or they can assess the condition of a critical pump or motor, thus allowing corrective action to be taken before damage occurs. The meter can also be used for acceptance testing. It complies with ISO 2954 and ISO 10816.
