Spoolable Carbon Composite

Hydril Co. LP has published literature on its newest division, Hydril Advanced Composites Group (HAC), which produces Spoolable Carbon Composite line pipe in diameters up to 4 in., and pressures to 7,500 psig. The product is a proven economical alternative to conventional steel pipe. It has an extended field life, especially in corrosive environments, and offers high fatigue resistance. This flexible, lightweight line pipe allows installation rates of more than 1 mi/hr.

Wire rope, cable

Bridon American Corp. has released its 2002 interactive CD catalog. The CD features extensive information, including performance indicators, an easy-to-follow rope selection guide, a variety of trouble-shooting sections and comprehensive information on the firm’s full line of products. It provides users with the information needed to make informed decisions on wire rope.

Flow measurement

Butterworth-Heinemann has published a revised book titled, Fluid Flow Measurement. The new volume stresses practical measurement of fluid flow. Its 16 chapters cover such topics as basic laws, types of fluid flow, standards, operation and maintenance, differential and linear meters, and more.
