The new management structure of Ramco Energy’s oil and gas division includes Steve Remp, chairman and CEO; Michael Seymour, senior VP, exploration; Michael Burchell retired. Daniel F. Stover was appointed senior VP, project development.

The International Association of Drilling Contractors and Schlumberger Reed-Hycalog elected Ray Peterson, senior VP, UTI Drilling-Midland, as 2001 Contractor of the Year.

Clough Engineering appointed Russell Waugh as general manager – Northern Australia and Papua New Guinea, Bruce Whiteford manager PNG and project director for the major Napa project in Port Moresby.

Gas Technology Institute elected Thomas L. Fisher, chairman, president and CEO Nicor Gas, as chairman. John F. Riordan was elected as president and CEO. Terry Keane was elected VP, exploration and production services. Melanie A. Kenderdine was elected VP, Washington operations, in Arlington, Virginia.

Charles O’Donnell joined Oxley Petroleum as senior geologist. Pam Ibbetson joined as senior landman, Anadarko basin.

Chris Pinkard joined Chiles Offshore as marketing and sales VP, replacing the retiring William Plamondon.

Babcock & Wilcox named David L. Keller executive VP. Brandon C. Bethards was appointed VP and general manager of the Fossil Power Division.

Friede Goldman Halter, Inc.,appointed Anil Raj COO.

Cabot Oil and Gas Corp. elected Michael B. Walen as senior VP.

Christopher Turner joined R. J. Rudden Associates, Inc., as VP in its Washington, D.C., office.

Duane C. Radtke was named CEO and president of Dominion Exploration & Production and an executive VP of Dominion, its parent company. He is succeeding the retiring Pat Riley.

Ocean Energy appointed Alan L. Smith business development VP.

J. Gary Whatley joined Mustang Engineering, Inc., as manager of project systems management.

Allomax Associates appointed Bob Agnew sales manager.

Daniel Murphy joined Albert-Garaudy and Associates, Inc., in its business development division.

CMS Energy Corp. named John M. McLaughlin, Jr., VP of corporate planning.

Kenji Yamanda became president of MODEC, succeeding the retiring Hirayoshi Hamazaki, and Shashank Karve succeeds Katsumi Matsunaga as president and CEO of MODEC International LLC.

Mike LeBlanc joined the Stric Lan Companies’ corporate sales team. Mike Hanson joined as electronic division manager.

Susan M. Cunningham joined Noble Affiliates, Inc., as exploration VP, succeeding James Woodson, who recently retired.

Santa Fe International Corp. promoted N. Pharr Smith to VP of technical operations and marine technology.

Friede Goldman Halter, Inc., appointed Anil Raj as its COO.

James C. Manatt, Jr., CEO and co-founder of Providence Technologies Inc. was elected president of the New Mexico State University Board of Regents.

Edward P. Cross was named executive director of the Illinois Petroleum Resources Board. This board’s two primary objectives are remediating orphaned and abandoned sites and developing and implementing a program to inform the public about the significance and viability of the state’s petroleum industry.

Vera de Ladoucette joined Cambridge Energy Research Associates as director for Middle East research.

Allan C. Smith joined Computational Geology as senior geologist and Houston representative.

PetroQuest appointed Dalton F. Smith, III, as business development & land VP.

Gary McGilvray was named president of DeGolyer and McNaughton.

Richard "Dick" Ghiselin joined OneOffshore, Inc., as ODS-Petrodata group publisher.

PGS Geo-Services has combined its entire geophysical management group under the team led by Anthony "Diz" Mackewn.

Joe D. Foster was elected VP of business development for Irving Shipbuilding Inc.

Lou Doiron was promoted to president and COO of Central Production Testing Ltd. Ed Gallant was promoted to general sales manager, Ken Chamey became operations general manager.

Dr. Kenneth L. Lay was named the 2001 recipient of the United States Energy Award for his lifetime achievements and contributions to an international understanding of energy issues. WO
