Rich Pattarozzi was appointed VP, Shell Offshore Inc. responsible for Shell Deepwater Development Inc., Shell Deepwater Production Inc. and the Shelf Business Unit. Paul Sullivan was named director of research, technology development and technical services.

Milan Hradsky was appointed exploration VP for Best Pacific Resources Ltd.

BP Amoco named Sir Ian Prosser as deputy chairman.

Lew Skaug joined Mustang Engineering as engineering manager.

Institut du Petrole (IFP) appointed Roland Huin director of the "René Navarre" Industrial Research and Development Center. Jean-Pierre Burzynski was named to succeed Roland Huin as process engineering division director.

Kerr McGee Oil & Gas Corp. named D. Roy Phillips vice president and managing director of UK operations.

Nova Technology Corp. named Ron Williams and Kerry Broussard senior VPs for business development and operations, respectively.

The Expro Group appointed Millàn Einstein Latin America coordinator.

Horizon Exploration Co. appointed Scott Rothwell VP of land, succeeding J. Pat Foster who became assistant to the president.

Waukesha Engine appointed Charles L. Mayer to manager-sales engineering compression.

David Jefferis will head Dynamic Graphics, Inc.’s, new Bakersfield, California, regional office.

Steve Berglund joined Trimble Navigation Ltd. as president and CEO.

Carson Services, Inc.’s Aerogravity division appointed Marc de Buyl as marketing and business development VP.

Keith Brown became VP and manager of Ryder Scott Petroleum Engineers’ Calgary office. Ron Rhodes was promoted to senior VP. Tina Obut, Ben Branum, Mike Zak, Dean Rietz and George Dames were promoted to VP. Thomas Wagenhofer joined as reservoir engineer.

Scott Pickford Group Ltd., a Core Laboratories Co., appointed Dr. Neil Oates and Ashleigh Hewett principal geophysicists.

Kelly J. Ogle joined Justinian Explorations Ltd.’s board of directors to oversee field operations. He will take an active role in the firm’s expanding investor relations program. Dr. Brian J. Moss became executive VP of exploration and will be directing its planned expansion in Argentina.

Charles Stephenson was named COO and a member of the board of directors of Spring Resources, Inc. and Spring Holding Co. Steve Hash was named manager of drilling and production, and Don Kentner was named manager of geology. Mike Rollins was named reservoir engineering manager.

Robert J. Holt, Sr., joined James E. Smith & Associates, Inc.

Patrice Canal, assisted by Alain Spiotti and Pierre Sénéca, will head CGG’s new business development division for the EAME region.

Thomas E. Decker joined Parsons Infrastructure and Technology Group as business development director and VP of Parsons Engineering Science.

Society of Evaluation Engineers elected officers for 1999 are: president, Andrew A. Merryman, Price Waterhouse Coopers; VP, Richard J. Miller, Richard J. Miller & Assoc. and secretary/treasurer, J. D. Hughes, Aggieland Salt Water Disposal.

Robert (Bob) B. Fryk was appointed engineering and operations VP for Maxx Petroleum Ltd. Gregory (Greg) A. Robb joined as exploration and land VP.

Thomas Schmandt was appointed environmental products VP for Pearpoint.

Robert Saucedo joined Well Service Technology, Inc., as international VP, responsible for worldwide sales and marketing

The International Association of Drilling Contractors named W. Dennis Heagney, president and COO of Transocean Offshore Inc. as 1999 Contractor of the Year.

Larry J. Macdonald resigned from Anderson Exploration. Brian H. Dau, currently VP, exploitation and business development was promoted to executive VP and COO.

Chuck Minton was promoted to senior VP and general manager of Louisiana operations for Aker Marine Contractors, Inc. Alan Cattell was reassigned to sales/proposal coordinator. Larry Bobbitt rejoined the firm as sales representative. Jim Darby was transferred to the business development group.

Richard Todd resigned as president and CEO of Richland Petroleum Corp.

Kerry Sully joined CGX Energy Inc. as president.

James C. Mesloh was named as executive director of CNG Foundation, succeeding the retiring Ray N. Ivey.

Following the formation of ABB Offshore Systems from combining ABB Offshore Technology and ABB Seatac, Larry Douglas was appointed president of ABB Offshore Systems, Inc. and Peter Breese became senior VP and deputy. B. Rasmus Sunde became president of ABB Offshore AS. Peter Hewlett will be managing director of ABB Offshore Systems Ltd. (UK).

El Paso Natural Gas promoted Thomas P. Morgan to VP, transmissions operations.

Altura Energy Ltd. named J. David Hamrick as president.

Scott A. Bailey joined Geo-Microbial Technologies, Inc.
