ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland -- The 33rd annual Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) Oil & Gas Conference starts tomorrow and runs through Thursday, June 22, at the St. John’s Convention Center.

“Noia is proud to once again deliver an exceptional industry conference,” said Sean Power, chair of Noia’s 2017 Conference Committee. “Even in this lower-for-longer environment, the state of our industry in eastern Canada remains strong. This year’s conference, Offshore Newfoundland: Relevant, Untapped & Resilient, will deliver a robust program of timely information and insights from leading industry stakeholders and experts. Building on this year’s theme, we will be discussing Newfoundland and Labrador’s untapped resources – our incredible resource potential, exciting seismic findings, as well as the opportunities still available in our shallow water basins. We will be discussing our relevancy – how Newfoundland and Labrador has world class potential and, developed properly and with a long-term view, will become a major player in the global oil & gas industry. And finally, we will be talking about our resiliency – how our supply and service companies are transforming how they do business in order to adapt to the lower-for-longer reality we find ourselves in and be prepared to fully support what we know will be a long-term, thriving industry.”

The Noia Oil & Gas Conference is Canada’s flagship offshore oil & gas industry information event, attracting global oil & gas industry leaders as both speakers and delegates. Themed Offshore Newfoundland: Relevant, Untapped & Resilient, the 2017 conference will once again deliver the latest updates on exploration, production and development activities in Canada’s offshore oil & gas industry and offer over 1,000 delegates the opportunity to partake in discussions about timely industry issues and participate in unparalleled networking opportunities.
