Jubilee field to ramp up to 120 Mbpd by 3Q
BY ANGEL GONZALEZ
SPRING -- The prolific Jubilee oilfield offshore of Ghana is expected to ramp up its oil output to 120 Mbpd by the 3Q after an upgrade at its producing facility, an Anadarko executive said.
Jubilee produces about 110 Mbpd on average, said Doug Lawler, SVP for International and Deepwater Operations. "At present the flow potential from the field is greater than we can produce" the executive said in an earnings call.
Anadarko continues to work on the divestment of its Brazilian offshore assets, although the process "is a bit of a challenge" because it's undergoing a unitization process, said SVP Bob Daniels. "Nonetheless we decided it was appropriate to move forward with the monetization there."
The timing of the sale is unclear due to the regulatory process, but the company is hopeful "to get it done later in 2013" Mr. Daniels said.
