NJ residents to weigh in on offshore oil drilling
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Federal officials will hold a hearing on offshore oil exploration in Atlantic City Friday.
Environmentalists, fishing groups and others are expected to oppose a proposal by the federal government to conduct seismic testing on the ocean floor off the East Coast. They
fear it' s the first step toward oil and gas drilling in areas that were once off-limits.
