Skanska gets $51 million oilfield contract in Colombia

STOCKHOLM -- Skanska said it has been awarded a $51 million contract to operate and maintain oil fields in Colombia. The contract is a joint venture with a local company. The total amount of the contract is $70 million, of which Skanska' s share is 73%, amounting to a total of $51 million.

Ecopetrol is the customer. The order will be included in order bookings for the Q1 2013. Skanska will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of 22 oil wells, 2 water injection wells, surface facilities, 80 km of flow lines and the gas, oil and water treatment. Works are scheduled to commence in March 2013 and will be completed in the Q1 of 2017.
