IBADAN -- Shell said that a team will conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire that led to the shutdown of the Trans Niger pipeline in the country' s Niger Delta.
Shell spokesman Tony Okonedo said in a statement that the team that will visit the site includes regulators, Ministry of Environment officials, community members, SPDC officials and independent observers.
The 28-in. pipeline that carries 150 Mbopd was shut June 19 following an explosion and a fire at a crude theft point.
