Saipem secures $500 million worth of rig contracts

MILAN -- Saipem said it had secured $500 million worth of contracts for the use of 13 rigs for onshore drilling in Saudi Arabia, South America and Kazakhstan. It said in a statement 3 of the 13 rigs would be purpose built. The first contracts are to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012, it added.
