Richard Williams appointed Baker Hughes President, U.S. Region

HOUSTON -- Richard Williams is President, U.S. Region of Baker Hughes Incorporated. His responsibilities include overseeing the U.S. Land region and the Gulf of Mexico geomarket. Williams previously served as the President, Gulf of Mexico Region. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in his 37 years with Baker Hughes. Since 2009, he has led the sales, operations and technical services teams responsible for supporting oil and gas exploration, development and production through a time of significant change in the Gulf of Mexico.

Throughout his career, he has held executive positions in operations for the Company’s completions, drilling and drilling fluids product lines, providing a broad base of global experience across the hydrocarbon asset life cycle. He is recognized for his holistic understanding of drilling and completions operations and provides a long-standing knowledge of Baker Hughes and the Company’s customers. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and an Associate’s degree in petroleum technology from Lincoln College.

He is on the Board of Directors of The Center for Offshore Safety, the National Ocean Industries Association and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Independent Petroleum Association of America and Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association.
