Reef Subsea secures decommissioning contract in central North Sea

RICHMOND, UK -- Reef Subsea Integrated Projects has secured a decommissioning workscope on the Angus Pipeline PL1857 Flushing projects for HESS Limited.

Reef Subsea Integrated Projects (RSIP) will deploy the Polar King construction support vessel to provide operations in field, which marks the first decommissioning project of this kind that Reef Subsea has worked on. The workscope will take place in the Fife, Fergus, Flora and Angus fields, commonly known as FFFA, which are located in the central North Sea in water depths of 70 m.

As part of the phased decommissioning programme, RSIP will perform the removal of the PL1857 pipeline contents with remotely operated vehicle (ROV) assistance. It will deliver a filtration package, suction pump and associated down lines to evacuate pipeline contents to the vessel.
