Petrobras says it may sell some Gulf of Mexico assets in Q1 2013
RIO DE JANEIRO -- Petrobras, said it may sell some of its assets in the Gulf of Mexico in the first half of 2013. Part of the company's Gulf exploration and production fields may be sold at that time, Petrobras Chief Financial Officer Almir Barbassa told reporters at the Rio Oil & Gas congress in Rio de Janeiro, without giving further details.
The divestment will be part of a planned sale of various overseas assets by the company, worth an estimated total of $15 billion.
