PGNiG to start production at new gas field in 2013

Polish state-controlled gas firm PGNiG plans to begin production at a new natural gas field in western Poland in 2013, the company said Thursday.

The Komorze conventional gas deposit near the city of Poznan holds recoverable reserves of natural gas estimated at 1 bcm, the company said.

The project is a joint venture of PGNiG and FX Energy, with PGNiG holding 51%.
