Oseberg Crude field reopens after leak

LONDON -- Production has resumed at the Oseberg oil field in the North Sea after a gas leak blamed on a power outage shut down operations.Statoil the operator, said workers were returning to their floating hotel and the situation is nearly back to normal. Nearly 700 workers were affected by the closure, according to the company.
Earlier Statoil said a power outage caused a gas leak and that the leak had been stopped but there were subsequent problems with the power supply. The statement detailed two separate power failures and two gas leaks.
