OPITO bolsters team with two new appointments
ABERDEEN, UK — The industry skills and workforce development body, OPITO, has appointed a new UK standards and approvals director to lead the development and delivery of safety and competence training standards throughout the industry.
Graham Gall has joined OPITO, bringing a wealth of experience and an impressive industry track record in the skills, training and workforce development sector to the Aberdeen-headquartered organization.
As UK standards and approvals director, Graham will oversee the effective implementation and delivery of OPITO standards across the industry, designed and adopted to ensure the development of safe, competent workforces across all sectors, both onshore and offshore.
Prior to joining OPITO, Graham spent five years as UK managing director with Falck Nutec, where he was responsible for the overall management, direction and growth of the UK business.
In addition to Graham’s appointment, James Robertson has joined OPITO as marketing and communications executive, part of the organization’s policy and external affairs team. James joins the business from Petrofac Training Services where he held the position of Marketing Manager for the Europe Region.
Prior to this, James spent a total of 5 years at Robert Gordon University, so he brings with him a sound understanding of cross education and industry initiatives and an understanding of the skills and training areas of the industry. He will be responsible for all marketing, communications and PR activity for the UK business, showcasing the breadth of OPITO’s work and operations with industry, education and government.
