BY MELANIE CRUTHIRDS, News Editor
HOUSTON -- MicroSeismic has been awarded an exclusive contract to install and operate the first BuriedArray permanent and real-time shallow subsurface monitoring system for Berry Petroleum in Kern County, Calif. This BuriedArray system will establish a permanent network of near-surface, multi-component geophones, which will continuously monitor the cyclic steam stimulation (CSS) operations within Berry’s North Midway Sunset field.
This contract builds on MicroSeismic’s experience conducting long-term monitoring of thermal operations in the Kern County area, and throughout North America.
