  • What's new in artificial lift

    Part 1, presented last month, covered 14 recent developments in four categories of artificial-lift technology: beam and progressing cavity pumping (PCP); plunger lift; and gas lift. This concluding article introduces 18 new developments from 10 companies. Ten of the presentations include new downhole and surface ESP systems. The remaining items cover contributions for various artificial lift and production operation categories, such as: PCP equipment; motor controllers/monitors; and software and instrumentation for well/field management and optimization.
