LUX Assure appoints new CEO, expands presence to Aberdeen
EDINBURGH -- LUX Assure has appointed Charles Cruickshank as its new CEO. The Edinburgh-based oil and gas chemical monitoring firm has also invested in new premises in Aberdeen’s Bridge of Don area, a strategic move to target growing opportunities in the Aberdeen market.
Cruickshank has 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having previously held the position of business development director at oilfield service company Petrofac Engineering Consultancy Services, where he focused on international business development.
Prior to this, he was commercial director for subsea specialist company Flexlife, where he handled all commercial activities and the internationalization of the business.
In his new role, Cruickshank will divide his time between LUX Assure’s new Aberdeen base and its Edinburgh headquarters.
Earlier this year, the company changed its name from LUX Innovate to LUX Assure. The name change came alongside the recent $5 million in funding to transform the company from an R&D-focused business, into a service provider for the oil and gas industry.
