LAFAYETTE -- Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) has announced the 2013 technical and international presentations that will be held throughout the first two days of LAGCOE at The Cajundome & Convention Center on October 22-23.

Technical Presentations cover a broad spectrum of topics that include DNV’s recommended practice for shale gas risk management, decommissioning process optimization and other matters relating to the energy industry. Additionally, executives from PEMEX will present E&P business opportunities in Mexico, and India’s ONGC Chairman will detail new discoveries and fastrack developments. All technical presentations will be held at the Convention Center Second Level.

LAGCOE technical presentations Committee Chairman, Greg Stutes with Completion Specialists, Inc. comments, “As technology changes in our industry, so does the need to convey the associated effect it has on all facets of our business. Our Technical Session Committee focused on producing a slate of technical speakers and topics which have significant relevance to the current state of our industry and also tie in well with LAGCOE, an onshore and offshore exposition. The technology transfer associated with the Technical Sessions provides critical technical information that is of high interest to decision makers.”

The keynote speaker for technical presentations on October 22 is Steve Thurston, Vice President of Deepwater Exploration & Projects, Chevron NA E&P Co. Thurston will cover the “Short & Long Term Outlook for the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.” The keynote speaker on October 23 is Jason French, Director, Government and Public Affairs, Cheniere Energy, Inc. His presentation is titled, “Sabine Pass LNG Import / Export Terminal: What It Means for Our State and Industry.”

All international presentations will be held at the Cajundome Evangeline Room and will commence with a welcome and briefing session for international visitors.
