Kogas preferred bidder for Cyprus gas exploration consortium with Eni

SEOUL -- Korea Gas has been selected as preferred bidder for gas exploration in Cyprus, a spokesman for the South Korean company said. It was selected along with lead partner ENI , the spokesman said by phone without elaborating.
The Korea Economic daily earlier reported that Kogas will have a 20% stake in the Cyprus exploration and development project which will give the South Korean gas utility access to an estimated 60 million tons of natural gas.
