    Melanie Cruthirds

    David A. Hager has been appointed COO at Devon Energy. He will be responsible for all operating areas and related corporate functions. Hager has served as executive V.P., E&P, since 2009, after serving on Devon’s board of directors since 2007. In addition, he served as COO of Kerr-McGee, prior to its 2006 merger with Anadarko Petroleum. Hager has more than 30 years of oil and gas E&P experience.Additionally, Tony Vaughn has been promoted executive V.P., E&P. Vaughn will report to Hager, and will be responsible for all of Devon’s oil and natural gas exploration, drilling and production operations. Vaughn previously served as Devon’s senior V.P., exploration and strategic services. Prior to joining Devon in 1999, Vaughn spent 12 years with Kerr-McGee, most recently as manager of the Rocky Mountain district.
